It really does not matter to me. If Ford wants to have a 3+ month run or whatever, it is their business.
The bottom line is that this vehicle will not be out for another 13-14 months. And when you say it will be a 15 MY designation everyone jumps to the conclusion that it will be out by Oct of...
The next SVT Mustang is scheduled right now to be released in the summer(June/July) of 2015. Most vehicles(I can not think of one that was not) released this late in the year have the Model Year connotation of the next year. Which would make it the 16 SVT Mustang. But some state clearly this is...
I just don't see Ford producing a 4 month run of 15 GT350, and then switching to the 16 in Oct of 2015.
Even with a supposed announcement the car is still over a year out. Even DMV has stated this.
2002 May/June release of the SVT Cobra were 2003 models
2010 Feb/March released Mustang GT's were 2011 models
2010 April/May released GT500's were 2011 models
Yet the 2015 June/July release of the GT350 is going to be a 2015 model? How long with the 15 production run? Through Sept or Oct of...
Yes they would have to sell more cars. Its called advertising and marketing. Why announce the car and look at all, if that was the case? Why tell GM about the weight loss in the 15 F150? To say hey we lossed weight, gained mpg, gained performance, gained towing... dont buy the...
Yes they would have! :headbonk: The first the out of their mouth for the they announced the new F150 was a weight savings of 500-700lbs! One of the first things they talked about when they announced the 11 GT500 was a weight savings of 100lbs!:frusty:
If it was any discernible weight loss they...
You stated the 444hp and 200lbs lighter in the same sentence leading me to believe you were talking of the Boss.
As for the 15 weight loss. The article states the lap time quickness as a direct quote from a Ford Employee with Mustang and then adds the conjecture of the new mustang weighing...
Pill, who cares what the Z28 is legal for or not? Who cares what the Boss is legal to race or not?
What we care about is building the best performance street car for the least amount of money. Legal racing certs dont mean anything to the performance of a car on the street!:frusty:
We both...
Why does it matter? We are talking about the big difference in times. CD times compared with times from professional drivers in different days? Yes they have published these slower times before.
CD has published many road course times that were slow when compared to professional drivers and yet they dont with the Z28?
Let me get the straight:
GTR 19 marketed and vid
991 GT3 25 no marketing no full vid
991 tts 26 no marketing no full vid
Z28 37 marketed and vid
And yet GM wants us...
GM ran nurburgring a month earlier in the Z28. They had a closed track and dry weather. Yet they could not beat the 37 they ran in the "wet" as some people call it. Hell when it was dry they had trouble beating the 41 the ZL1 ran.:eyebulge:
12.2 in what car? The rags can't report lap times for the camaro? Haha.
As far the mustang is concerned the performance is going to be great however it's still a big car with a small interior. Dumb if you ask me!
Who cares where the chasis come from Ireland what they're used for? Mustang has borrowed platforms for years to keep cost down. Thus is a good thing. What matters is performance. Both mustang and camaro are stepping up. Too bad camaro comes from GM.
