I'm not sure how that contradicts.
We can compare the weight because the individual parts, dimensions, and materials used were not that different even tho it is a new platform that was designed around IRS. Most of the new redesign and parts were a wash when it comes to weight so yes, we can...
The point is it is almost impossible without the abundant use of lighter materials, dramatically decreasing the size of the vehicle, or stripping a lot of equipment, none of which they did, to make up for the kind of weight increase the ILIRS added. That's all I'll say.
Gents, this is not...
If rough around the edges means brake dive, creaking, wheel hop etc, I'll take the sporty and elegant car with the much stiffer chassis, better weight distribution, better stance and greatly improved suspension. And SVT will be state of the art.
If you like aftermarket, it's going to blow away...
It absolutely is, by 150-200 lbs actually.
The internet being what it is, I don't expect you to take my word as fact, nor can I provide you proof at the moment, but bookmark this and you will see.
It is very difficult to make up for that weight. On paper it might turn some of you off...
Too tall? It sits lower than the S197. Keep in mind these images from the mag are a bit distorted. The video screen grab is a better representation.
To all that doubted the renders, told ya.
To all that still doubt these, another told ya coming on Thurs.
Time to accept it guys.
I dig the new...
I guarantee you there are members/visitors here (and maybe elsewhere) that have already been behind the wheel of, tested, and are involved first hand in GT350 development. Info will come out when it comes out and I know this site is no laggard. The problem is without Ford confirmation it will be...
AFAIK just the SVT, not on the volume trims. Likely still a long while away from seeing that on all Mustangs. The weight loss rumors confused the GT350 improvements with the entire S550 lineup.
This has nothing to do with C&D. The article was bunk.
The numbers from FORD are more or less set already, give or take +/- a few HP's. Trivial stuff. The targets were determined long ago and like it or not this is the lineup we will see next year. The survey has given an accurate preview...
I just had to chime in on this. The C&D article absolutely stinks all around.
1) leaks don't happen in the form of renders
2) "almost definitely" Seriously? Why would a "LEAK" be almost definitely anything?
3) Notice they do not claim to have any more info than already exists. In fact they...
Since when was the Mustang aiming and even coming close to hanging with BMWs in anything but performance?
It's still the best bang for your buck and will remain so, even if by a slightly lesser margin. I think there is this fallacy in thinking that at some point the Mustang has to be compete...
Mr. Chazcron,
Don't even sweat it. I'm telling you, the real production car that we will see in December will never live up to that Jalopnik render. I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but the truth will vindicate you in December when people see the car. Your latest renders (the updates)...
There's not going to be a side scoop, implied or not.
Not sure why the change to the quarter window was done like that but chazcron had it right. This does NOT look like an Accord.
2 things-
It is a base model, hence the "plain-ness." I imagine some of us will be repeating this a million times.
Second, have you seen the car? Based on your location, I would say no. I know those that have and they have told me this is as accurate as they have seen.
I have to say nice work.
As anyone who has worked with CAD images can tell you and what most people fail to realize is that even CAD images straight from the manufacturer can't compare to how good cars will look in the flesh. It is night and day.
I've seen many CAD images in my work and...
