excuse my ignorance, but what does msrp stand for?
  6. Do you want Black Rims with your Performance Package?

i'm not sure of too many manufacturers that offer countless wheel options. wheels on any car are such an incredibly personal choice, like music really. when i bought my 2005 FPV GT i hated the wheels, so i went aftermarket and bigger to clear 6/4 brembos. i still have the original wheels in the...
  7. What kind of demographic are we comprised of?

how ya goin mate, i got that info from the local Ford/FPV dealer here in Rockhampton, QLD about a month ago. after talking to the sales manager for about 10 minutes i had the idea i knew more about the Mustang than he did. i may go to Brisbane to do a deal as i think the mob here in Rocky won't...
  8. What kind of demographic are we comprised of?

i've had v8 engined rear wheel drive cars all my driving life and it's a hard habit to kick. my son has a very tidy Suburu WRX with an aftermarket exhaust and tune. that is a very fast car from such a little engine, so the turbo could well be indeed a very good option over the regular v8. the...
  9. What kind of demographic are we comprised of?

our sedans with the 5.4litre were quite a lot of car for the money and i have no doubt quite a few of you guys in the States would have loved them. sigh, nearly all gone now, i believe the cupboard is just about bare with a year to go.
  10. What kind of demographic are we comprised of?

yes we will look into the Mustang for sure, although my patience will be tested as we won't get it til last quarter '15 :headbonk: i really, really hope we get a high performance model such as GT350 with perhaps 5.0 supercharged engine. that would definately be worth the wait
  11. Performance Pack stiffness

don't come to Australia then, that is what some sections of our highway one looks like
  12. What kind of demographic are we comprised of?

Ford have arrogantly removed our v8 engine rear wheel drive cars here in Australia so the only alternative is to hope and pray the American built Mustang lives up to the hype surrounding it. i don't know what Aussies will do if they want 4 doors though, which traditionally is our standard. my...
  13. Are you on the fence and if so why?

here in Australia i'm hoping for a high performance model to replace our much respected FPV GT's and GTP's. if there will be no replacement for these vehicles then i'll probably move on as i don't think the ordinary models will be that special compared to what we've had here for the last 11...
  14. Where's the base model?

to the op, i see you're from Australia. i doubt Ford would offer various options here. i'm thinking we'll get the highest optioned package so they can charge us a premium. i'd suggest the majority of Aussies will want all the fruit, similar to our redundant FPV's.
  15. The Engine Break-In Debate

the last car i bought brand new was a high performance Australian GT. the drive home from the dealer was a touch over 200kms and in that time the engine was used throughout it's rev range, but never on cruise control. this engine, after over 100,000kms has never used oil in between services...
  16. Australian police considering new Mustang as Highway Patrol vehicle

i guess there isn't much choice anymore now that our own cars have been taken away from us.
  17. Is the 2015 you ordered going to be you Daily Driver?

when they come down under, i'll be expecting to drive it as often as possible but won't be my daily.
  18. Why are YOU buying the new 'Stang?

my Australian built FPV GT had this 11 years ago :headbonk:
  19. Why are YOU buying the new 'Stang?

why a mustang? good question. well, over here in Australia, Ford shit on a lot of people who have loyalty to the brand, by taking away our rear wheel drive falcon platform. my current car is a 2005 BA GT which uses the modular 5.4 litre with 4v overhead cam heads. it produces 290kw (388hp)...
