When I ordered my sales guy told me 8-10 Weeks. I think it is just the packaged response they are told to feed the customer. I told him from my research I would expect double that and I would be happy if I got my car before thanksgiving. It ended up being 16 weeks for me.
I have heard where people say they were told 8 weeks from their dealer. I conclude that dealers don't know anything except how to tie ballons on to car doors.
They may have released allocation for the bullitts lately. But even if they released 1k it wouldnt push yours back that far. They produce many more than 1k mustangs a month. Maybe give you a week or so delay.
Checked cotus this morning and it shows I have gone in transit. Verified with Ford Chat. I should have my car in 12-15 days if the EDD doesn't change again. Although I am not naive and know it will most likely not make that time frame.
You can also check out blue oval forums for ford employees that will give status updates for you. Click here. But read the rules and follow them to make your tracking easier.
Have you seen your DORA? With your name order number and details of the car you ordered? You can go to https://fmcchat.ford.dxcdynamics.com/chat/chatstart.aspx?domain=www.performanceparts.ford.com&session=58-1485974158852&SID=1 and chat with them about the order. At least you will know it is...
From my experience I believe what you said to be true. Mine went in order processing and then on Friday of that week I was told it was scheduled to week of 10/1.
If you get scheduled on Thursday you will be schedule in week of 11/05 and I would guess a EDD of about 11/30 + or - because the...
See below for a copy and paste form another thread. Material hold is used when an order is placed for a vehicle that is not available to be built. You can have an Unscheduled Clean order that is waiting on Commodities (Parts or materials as you call them) The below is from someone else but is...
Ha you're right. Not sure which calendar I was counting weeks on. But apparently I missed a couple weeks. Still a quick turn around. I ordered on 6/22 and my EDD is Oct 25th.
Clean means it's a buildable order. Meaning the option selection is acceptable. They will schedule based on date, priority, and parts supply for the options selected. My order was clean and i was told by the sales manager he spoke with a ford rep who said it was on hold due to magneride supply.
Lucky you. I ordered the Velocity Blue PP2 in june and my EDD is is middle of Oct. I would be very surprised (and happy for you) if you got your car in as little as 6 and a half weeks. I think that might be a record on here if it happens.
From what I have read is that a dealer can use the same order code for many different orders. I would get a hold of Ford Performance Chat and tell them you would like the VIN Number for the Mustang on that order number. then forget the order number and just track it via the vin. Also check...
