Not sure how old you are.. but I see that you do go to the sideshow events on Crenshaw. I sincerely, hope you didn't bring your Mustang.
The crows that attends, participates in these illegal gatherings is usually up to no good. Illegal street racing, doing donuts on public intersection is...
You guys are harsh,.. lighten up.. we're all mustang guys here at the end of the day!
I would like to add, if one wants a reference to a certain vehicle and is going to use a magazine/video.. at least used the ones where they tested on the same day/track (M4 vs SS, 5.0 vs M3). Conditions, dif...
I agree as well.. I will never use a magazine time to make a claim that one car is better (especially if the difference is a few tenths of a second).
Here's a good example of a fail review:
Ford Mustang 5.0 GT vs BMW M2
[ame]
We all know the 5.0 ain't running no 13.4 with a descent driver...
To the enthusiasts and those who track their car, the added coolers, tranny, tires, chassis, gears, power may be worth it. But to the majority of the public, the performance of the 5.0 is more than enough and they can careless about the performance upgrades.
Just depends on the individuals and...
Is the 5k price base of the SS over the 5.0 justifiable?
There's a lot of things the Standard on the base SS that the base GT doesn't have that's more performance orientated.. .Such as..
-275 Good year run flat staggered tires
-8"inch screen
-Brembos all around
-3 radiators...
We ALL have used magazine times at a point of reference especially when we don't know squat about a car. Someone brought up the Audi S4 as a comparison and I don't know SQUAT about it or have driven it. A simple search with C&D, Motortrend tested the 0-60 at 4.7 secs, etc... I would have never...
Power Pack 3 only adds 5 lbs/ft :(
37hp and 5lbs/ft peak gains over stock
60hp gain at 7500rpm

I'll be interested in power pack 2.
I'm not sure about the low 12's with a good DA. His trap speed, with the extra boost, tune and a really good 60' will get mid 12's with a good DA IMO.
Well, mid 12's is beating every stock GT so I guess for a 37k car + tune, it isn't so bad. Running 23+ lbs boost on these cars is pushing it...
It should be fine unless you lost 2-3 quartz and have been driving for awhile like that. Looking at the pics, looks like you lost maybe 1/2 a quart at most.
But let the car cool and check your dipstick and get a new one from the dealer. Sorry to hear, your Stang is a stupid pretty! It'll all...
In all honesty, I felt the torque was okay for the 3.31 gears but the 3.73 gears felt really good. The shorter gears 3.73 really gets into the powerband.
I test drove a Scat before I got the GT and it has a lot of low end torque but the car just felt to heavy. The SS M6 has massive torque and...
Geeze, I thought I was the only one that felt that! With the M6, 3.31 gears the car felt like the EB and you can't feel the pull until you go to 4k . I guess the lower gears are good if you're going to put a blower on.
The 3.73 gears with the M6 is MUCH MUCH better.
Well I was talking about stock performance.. the ST stock will not beat a V6/EB with equal drivers. Good, fun lil car I'll admit with ample space.
Now when your increasing the boost then it's a totally different game. A modded 5.0 with a tune and full bolt-ons will run 11's to low 12's...
LOL Hilarious!
Well I never really noticed the lack of torque until I drove a 6th Gen Camaro. SOB had torque on top of torque to redline. With that said, I like how the PP with 3.73 gears felt. Felt very lively and with the shorter gears it def. goes into the powerband quicker. If I had to do...
