  1. 2018 With a Replacement Engine

It probably would, if the car were not an automatic transmission. The reasoning is that the automatic transmission will continously shift at much lower engine rpms, than we do with our manual transmission. Let's be honest, most of us GT350 owners are normally getting the rpms to 6K+ before we...
  2. 2018 With a Replacement Engine

It now has a more dependable engine, less prone to burning oil. As long as the owner properly broke in the new engine, I'd go for it if the price is right. Btw, I have a 2019, whose Gen 2 engine was replaced with the latest engine(Gen 3?). And you could never tell the difference in either...
  3. 2020 GT New Battery Recommendations

Most OEM's are now AGM's. I bought a new OEM battery last year, and it was an AGM.
  4. Z26 pad issue... I think

Are you sure it's not just rust on the rotors from being in wet conditions before you start driving? These rotors start getting surface rust right away just in damp, misty conditions while parked. When I first take out the car after such conditions, it takes some braking to wear off the rust...
  5. Active exhaust valve not fully open?

I think you need to look at the valves with the engine running, and look at them in each mode. My valves look like that when the engine is not running. Bur once its running, they're either fully closed or open depending on mode.
  6. What did you do to your GT350 today?

No, a Covercraft outdoor cover. Once the snow melts a little, and freezes to the cover, you can do more damage trying to get it off. Besides, the car is ceramic coated, and gets a touch-up just before storage. No rust anywhere. Car sits on flatstopper ramps. And rust usually happens when road...
  7. What did you do to your GT350 today?

Been doing it for 5 years now, and never had a problem. And the car is next to my firewood storage. But I put out the poison mice baits all summer and fall in that area. So by the time I put the car in the back, there's nothing living there.
  8. restart after winter hibernation

Started mine today after the winter hibernation. No pre-cranking. It started immediately, and just as fast, oil pressure came right up. Let it sit and warm up for a few minutes, and then took it out for some mild driving until oil temp reached 180°. After that I opened it up a bit, but still...
  9. What did you do to your GT350 today?

Uncovered the car and took it out from it's backyard winter hibernation. It sat with almost 2 feet of snow/ice on it for over a month. Car started right up, and sounded great.
  10. Rear decklid emblem, why????

Looks good. I looked for others, but right now none available.
  11. HOW FAST CAN A MUSTANG GO!!!???

Yep, got one of those heading to NC doing 99mph. Had to hire a lawyer. Charge was reduced to improper driving, but still a big fine. They treat us senior citizen speeders, different than some 20 yr old speeder.
  12. Gonna be a long wait.

You people don't have a plow for your car, lol.
  13. Rear decklid emblem, why????

So what is the part #? Mine came loose/broke last year. My detail shop affixed it with some 3M double sided tape meant for attaching emblems. But I'd like to find an extra in case it falls off again and I don't notice it.
  14. What did you do to your GT350 today?

I want at least 180° oil temp before I'll go over 4k rpm. And usually in warm weather, the oil pressure ranges from 70-105 psi. Cylinder head temp doesn't mean anything if the oil is still cold and not flowing smoothly. I find any temps 45 and lower are not comfortable to drive in. Plus, at...
  15. What did you do to your GT350 today?

These cars do not do well in cold weather, especially temps below freezing. The engine oil will never reach proper operating temp leaving it not flowing enough throughout the engine. My car at 45° will barely have the oil reach 180° even after 30 minutes of driving. Let alone the oil pressure...
  16. Anyone see a GT350-h Hertz Commemoration

Correct, there was a GT-H, like this one I saw at a car show this summer. Notice the GT-H markings on the grill and side stripe, along with the Hertz emblem on front fender.
  17. Exhaust Mode Selection Unavailable on Startup

A shot in the dark; How old is your battery? I had the notification come on at a time when my battery was nearing replacement. The warning only lasted a few seconds after the car was started. Once I replaced the battery, no warning notification. If there's not sufficient voltage available, these...
  18. Battery Saver message on a new battery

FYI, on Saturday at 11:55am, I got the message on the FordPass app, that my car went into battery saver mode. That is exactly 2 weeks to the hour, after I put the car away for the Winter attached to the battery tender. Like clockwork it goes into saver mode every 14 days if not used.
  19. What did you do to your GT350 today?

My car must be more efficient at cooling, because at highway speeds my cylinder head and oil temps start getting lower.
  20. What did you do to your GT350 today?

What is up to temps? At 40° I couldn't get the oil temp past 174°, and cylinder temps barely made it to 185°. And oil pressure was routinely over 125psi. Let alone the transmission was about 85°, and the was very hard to shift smoothly. Those are not what I consider ideal, or safe conditions for...
