I can tell you for sure that these would hold up on the track as proven by the many race teams who use it.
Fun fact, the only wheels currently on Acura's Pike's Peak cars are HRE's (photo below)
I can understand you're pleased to see the wheel from an aesthetic perspective, but we should be talking durability and strength (essentially the quality of the wheel), which is extremely important for a lightweight wheel. No point in having a wheel on the car that looks good, but won't last...
Not surprised, there's for sure a handful of shady dealerships around that will do this to a customer. Some dealers clearly have no want to provide any decent customer service, this is awful.
Hopefully the dealership has some karma coming.
Even Paul will tell you the substantial difference in quality from an HRE Forged wheels versus a Spun Cast/FlowForm wheel. We make our own FlowForm wheels at a lower price point but at the sacrifice of weight and custom fitment options, so that would be the kind of comparison that you would...
RC100 and RC103 I can make in 17"-20" diameters with lots of width options and offset options (which cover every fitment possibility for the Mustang and GT350).
When it's a premium product, don't be surprised if that's the case. You gotta pay to play if you want a high quality option.
I can make that happen with the R101's. For the 19" fitment the weight would be what I posted above (19x10 ET35 - 19.80lbs).
I don't make the standard R101's in 20", so we would have to fashion up a set of P101's if you wanted that (at this point though, we have other wheels similar in...
Sorry for this three part post, as you can tell I have a vested interest in lightweight wheels.
Anyway, for those like myself with Mustang GT's (not GT350s'), we would want a 19x10 up front with a 19x11 right? Since it's not the same fitment as the GT350 R101 Lightweight set, we would...
Actually that's totally 100% correct if you can believe it. One of our dealers just installed a set of R101 Lightweights on his Ferrari 488 the other day, and he said it felt like he gained 100HP. Of course that's a complete exaggeration, but the fact that he's feeling a significant difference...
Meanwhile at the HRE Performance Wheels...
And I know you're asking for a GT PP1 car and you don't have a GT350, just wanted to highlight the part forum members would be interested in seeing.
Also we make R161LW's just in case your Viper needs some assistance. We can improve upon the 23lbs...
Flange/Lip differences between each model can be seen here.
Here are the lips side by side so you can more easily see the differences between each flange style.

It would need to take a serious demand on the customer side for us to do so.
When we first came out with the first FlowForm wheel, the FF01, we made a 19" fitment and 20" fitment for Mustangs. The 20" sold out almost immediately and the 19" took a longer time to move. Though many on the forum...
I agree with Dudie on this one. Chances are most people who really want one, won't even get the opportunity because they'll be allocated to customers already. Better start getting in touch with Steeda right away if you want to get yours locked in.
