I see. This all works a bit differently than I was expecting. I was thinking of "S" as more of a manual operation mode for the transmission. You guys are probably right though. This would explain why it still shifts for you even in "S" mode. So once you hit a paddle that puts it in manual...
Based on the all of the info posted that is what I thought too. It threw me off, though, when a V6 owner said that the car continued to shift for him even when in "S." Maybe he was mistaken?
Really? I have not heard this before. Interesting. I thought that switching between normal, sport, snow, and track was done via toggles and that switching to "S" just meant that the transmission went to a "manual" mode where the paddles take over. What does using the toggle to put it in...
When you shift the automatic transmission into "S" does it totally stop shifting for you and waits for you to hit the paddles or does it "step in" if you wait too long to shift?
So there is some confusion on this topic for me. I have seen several posts mentioning conflicting information, but I...
I definitely think you should go look. This is a great way to see how the sales people will treat you. I quickly eliminated a few dealerships when I was just looking because of the service. They may be more hesitant to give you a test drive, but the worst they can say is no. I think being up...
I'm waiting more for money reasons. Now just isn't a good time for me to buy, and I'm hoping to get a good deal right before the MY 16 models come out as others have mentioned. I am also curious to see what tweaks they will make. Right now I love the way it looks. I have a hard time...
This is definitely the most defiant Mustang review so far!:D
On a serious note though, thanks so much for posting all the info. I was basically sold on getting an EB, but you are making me reconsider.
I feel like there are a lot of conflicting reports about the ecoboost. It is the one that I want, but then I read stuff like this and begin to second guess myself. I guess it will come down to the test drive!
I found this review irritating not only because of the goober of a host (that's right I said goober), but that they rarely matched up the correct footage with what he was talking about. Talks about 19" PP wheels = show 18" premium wheels. Talk about rearview camera in base V6, show a premium...
I am sure you guys will cover this as these are the most basic things people mention, but I am most interested in the handling characteristics and acceleration. I don't expect it to be anything like a V8, but I am curious to hear how well it performs out of the box. I also want to hear more...
For me I really like the premium features, but the performance pack is really nice as well. It is still hard to say at this point because I haven't driven it with and without. I agree that some of the PP additions are easier to do aftermarket than a lot of the premium features.
The weird...
I could be wrong, but I have heard a lot of people saying that you cannot get the redline interior with race red. So, I'd look into that if you are really set on the redline interior.
You make a good point. Sometimes I forget the level of dedication/obsession some of our members have. Not that it is a bad thing, but sometimes it blows things out of perspective. Black is definitely still in the running for me. I don't particularly like the black wheels with several of the...
What did you think of this color in person? This is what I'm currently planning on getting. The pictures look amazing, but you never know until you see it in person.
Great pics! However, that is the rubiest red I have ever seen. I also don't think Ford lets you put the redline seats with race red (which is dumb). My point, that is definitely not race red FYI. Thanks for sharing though. :)
I hate dealer stickers sooo much!!
I am definitely making sure that is not on mine when I get one. Is it better to have them remove it or remove it yourself? I could see pros and cons to both. I'm sure the best option is to make sure it is never placed on there to begin with.
Look at that beautiful machine. I can't wait until I can see (and test drive) one of these beasts at a dealership. I've seen the car in person twice, but once was at an autoshow where they wouldn't let you get inside and the other time it was a dealer training where things were rushed. So I...
