Good story there @gfitzge2!
My car is currently on a train and just days away from being delivered to the dealership. I've been watching, documenting and tracking the best that I can since I started the order process back in December. Two days ago I went into my dealership to see if they...
Good points mentioned here. I've heard about the "transport mode" but don't know all of what it does. Some say it limits engine RPM range and other vehicle functions, until the dealer unlocks them with control panel settings, buttons or pedal pushes. And maybe as you say, this might keep an...
I've been digging in trying to research this Ford Order Tracking website issue, and today I found that it works for some cars and not others. It hasn't worked on my 2022 car order, or many recently ordered cars, it seems.
I found another car, a Mach 1 ordered last year, and just recently...
Here is what I was able to find on one of those Mach1's, from the Ford Order Tracking System. Strange, as this lookup works for this vehicle, but not for many others.

Sorry to hear of your Covid, and wish you a speedy recovery.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting the car soon. My dealer doesn't drill Mustang front bumpers, so I'm good on that. I think the only things they might do beyond the dealer prep PDI might be cleaning/washing it, and filling up the...
For any of you who have taken delivery of a new Mustang, what was the odometer reading when you first looked at or got the car?
I'll go first. When I purchased my 2015 GT in late 2014, it had an odometer reading of 19 miles when I first took it for a test drive at the dealership. Some of that...
Correct. That is the first email, confirming the order. The next email you get will be when the Flat Rock Ford Plant pulls your order from the order bank (where it is now), and schedules it for Production. That is when you get a VIN and build week assignment, and that information will be in...
Hey 22GT - Your situation is an interesting one, because it sounds like you are getting two different answers (RAIL and CONVOY). Do you have the ability to go in-person to your dealer, have them look up the latest status in their WBDO system? If it truly is on a RAIL / train, then there would...
Sorry to hear about this, as I realize it is frustrating. I'll mention just a few things here, and then give you a link below to a previous set of posts I made on this forum of my experience. If you read through my posts and links from there, it might give you some things to consider or try...
Maybe it depends what type of mod made if they (CarMax) decide to strip them? Here is my previous GT being advertised by CarMax some time ago, and it seems they kept the front STO N SHOW license plate mod I made when I had it. And I did give to CarMax the original Ford front bumper license...
@Lexc12 - You can try contacting Ford Performance to get the latest status and better information on your order (https://performanceparts.ford.com/contact-us/). I believe your Window Sticker status has been updated as of today (March 2), as it looks like it has a new footer date compared to the...
I have been posting and documenting my recent car ordering experience at the link below. Feel free to use it if helpful:

This is a bit technical, but in watching the underlying communication from my computer's web browser to Ford's Order Tracking server, this is the low-level message coming back to my browser after clicking the "Accept & Track" button:
{
"Status": "error",
"Code": "exception",
"type"...
I realize this thread is about the Ford Order Tracking website, and we've been discussing how it rarely works. Nonetheless, one thing I've been doing to track changes and "movement" of my car's production/built/shipment/delivery is to closely watch the Window Sticker footer date (see yellow...
Unfortunately, the Ford Order Tracking website has rarely worked. I was checking and trying it daily since late December, and it only worked for me intermittently in late January / early February. I was documenting some of that in another thread I posted at the link below...
My feeling is the dealer game of having a customer order a car, it arriving, then the dealer selling it to someone else for more $$$ possibly might happen on limited allocation vehicles -- for example, higher end models like Mach 1, GT500.
The Mustang GT I ordered is quite plain and pedestrian...
Today I received an email from Ford that my car "Shipped". I've updated the timeline history on my original post, at the link below:

I will admit, this was a concern I had when I was giving consideration to placing an order with my dealer. For the past several months, every Mustang on my dealer's lot has an ADM (in the thousands of $$), and walk-up customers are paying that. My concern was that I place an order (at MSRP...
