Ya, I used to be one of the people that considered the 6cyl mustangs as the "girl's model". However, now that we have a v6 that puts out as much hp as the v8's up to a few years ago, I don't see it that way anymore. From my viewpoint, as a non-racing, daily driver, there's not a lot I can't...
I was disappointed with J. Mays after he came out with the blandtastic design of the Five Hundred. What could have been a great tribute to an awesome name, was a big nothing. And then he had the bonehead quote: "You can never look too much like an Audi, can you".
I like the new designs...
I wondered the same thing as Donky, but I would surmise that Rampart is correct. The double bubble is just for looks. (unless someone else knows otherwise)

Ya, but the back window is over your head in the backseat...
Still, doesn't matter to me. As noted, its never really been useful as a backseat anyway. I would imagine the vast majority of people that buy the mustang don't care about it.
It can't be everything to everybody.
Wasn't there an interview with J. Mays in the last year or so where he said that the 'wedge' look was out? The c&d render seems to still have some of that in it with the back end sticking up. Also, I like how Chaz's roof line is flatter along the back window. That's another detail that adds...
