^ More data points.
Longer loans, more subprime, more delinquencies....anyone see a pattern?
I can't fault the average consumer for taking advantage of interest rate arbitrage on a long term, low interest loan on one of the few opportunities they have to do so.
However, most people don't have the discipline to do this and are just reaching to buy more car than they really can afford...
I'm 195 cm tall and fit just fine. Telescoping steering wheel allows me to get a good driving position as well.
My wife is 162 cm and barely fits in the back seat.
In other industries, mis-representing/advertising your products would be considered fraud.
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect mfgs./tuners/suppliers to use consistent testing methodology.
Do I expect it to happen, no.
^^ This most likely, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.
Online you can find a sub-group for anything that will provide you validation, no matter how outlandish.
Is there any downside to leaning it out under light throttle?
Why does Ford run it at 14.0 if it's an easy mpg improvement for CAFE? (The tests are done primarily under light loads)
Not exactly. If you divide the up front payment by the number of months, you come up with a monthly cost of $332, and Ford's calculator doesn't include state taxes.
If I put an Automatic V6 with the fog light (etc.) and wheel package (runs about $895 retail) into a lease calculator, I come up...
People I trust have hit the combined rating for the automatic (25) when driving very conservatively for a similar mix of city/hwy, so 26 mpg for the manual should be possible to achieve. You just have to keep it out of boost.
Wolf isn't that bad. I don't shoot factory ammo much, but it'll do 4-5" at 100, even in my Arsenal.
Burns up barrels fast though. If you're putting a lot of rounds through your AR, expect to swap barrels every 5K or so if you care to hit what you're shooting at. I've seen them start keyholing...
28K+ annually, now that's some serious volume, particularly if it's factory stuff. I did 25K for about two years in USPSA, but none of that was factory.
What's your sport? Are you sponsored?
On an unprepped road, I would think traction would be the biggest issue in getting good times, no?
Aren't you really comparing who got the stock tires to hook the best with these examples?
Can you please explain this statement further? Why do you feel that way and what exactly can Cobb do that others can not for other platforms?
I'm genuinely curious, not being snarky.
I do appreciate Cobb chiming in to disucss their load based tuning vs. other tuning methods, for instance.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I just have to throw out one story to tell that relates to this topic.
There was a study done not too long ago on a large group of kindergarden aged children that were followed through life afterwards.
The task was simple, the children were asked if they would...
A guideline I've adopted is to not spend more than 20% of your gross annual income on a car and to drive it at least 5 years, if not 10.
While this is restrictive for most people given the median salary in the US and the much higher cost of new cars these days, it does ensure you'll be able to...
Looking forward to a 9 or 10 speed in the Mustang for '16. That would be sweet.
However, saying that Ford will have 1 up on the Camaro will be short-lived, maybe 1 year at most, if at all, since Ford and GM developed this transmission jointly.
GM is advertising a 9-speed in that new Buick...
What I find odd is that Unleashed Tuning made those kinds of numbers with "just a tune", and here, they're (ATP's) showing similar numbers with full bolt ons and Cobb's stage 1 tune.
Caveat being different cars, different dynos, different days, not real world, delta under the curve etc. but it...
Thank you.
I've found that:
a.) Having a family and
b.) Having a few easy to understand rules about how you handle money takes care of the old cheapskate part on its own.
I happen to have people in my circle of friends that are multi-millionaires but you wouldn't necessarily know it based...
I think it depends on what you plan to do with the car.
As a high mileage daily driver, having driven both the Eco and the V6, I liked the sound of the V6 and that it pulled until redline. The torque difference of the Eco was noticeable at street safe speeds, as was a small amount of...
