I have never in my 33 years, had my car, or known any friends, family or coworkers that have ever had gas stolen or stuff put in their gas tank. I have lived in some serious ( no really) ghetto's too.

We have a 19 month old. The wife has the primary family hauler (4runner), and I traded in a fullsize Ram 1500 Crew Cab. I went ahead and bought a nice seat just for the car. It stays installed about 99% of the time.
1) Its a PITA to remove and install
2) Nobody (grownups) want to sit back there...
So on some of the other manufacturer sites (example: I used to have a Dodge Ram), the website set up a chat with one of the product engineers, and all kinds of good info was gained.

1). I'll agree with the Metallic black option, but there are some cool colors. The Comp Orange, Ruby Red, Guard, and DIB are all stellar IMO
