Really nice job and video. Can hardly wait to see this on Jay Leno's show.
I was impressed that the 5.0L engine produces 774 HP without any internal engine upgrades (excluding higher flow fuel injectors). I wonder if the same level of power can be accomplished with the Ecoboost Mustang via a...
I've noticed that most of the "thud" and "clunk" noises are coming from owners with PP. If your car doesn't have the PP option, that might be why you're not experiencing it. If you google "mustang torsen thud" without the quotes you'll see a lot of info about it.
Nice review, OP. Thanks for sharing.
I'm glad I went with the base suspension. Most of the suspension noises and clunks, interior rattles, etc that I hear about come from folks with the PP (the only exception is the brake squeal issue which affects both GT base and Ecoboost PP). The 3.31:1...
I typically don't mod my Mustang but I've monitored the various forums over the years and this issue has had a lot of discussion.
In addition to the info in this forum and experiences others post in your thread, I recommend visiting this google link. You'll see lots of good info...
Here's a few photos of my Jalapeno Red 1985 Mustang GT with 4-bbl carb, 5-speed manual, and charcoal cloth interior.
This one was my favorite Fox. It represented the pinnacle of old-school Mustang performance: 5.0L/302 V8, 4-bbl Holley carburetor, roller hydraulic lifters, aggressive cam...
Here's my 1982 Mustang GT 5.0 with 4-speed manual transmission, red cloth interior. The red stripe on the side and bumper was distorted when I scanned the 35mm slide.

Thanks 4Mustangs! Very cool that you are nearly done with your '81 resto!
Yes, I sure do have some photos of my Foxes. Thanks for asking. I will post them in the replies below.
To some of the comments re V8, I've always liked the sound Evolution Performance got with their 2011 5.0 automatic. See the video below to hear - it really captures that V8 howl that I like but the volume level might be a bit much on the street.
The exhaust components listed in the video are...
Thanks. It's amazing how similar the sound is. I think my recording might be worse only because I had to stay on the brakes longer and I was in a parking garage which provided some really good reverb. LOL. Did you listen to mine?
