  4. Glad I wasn't driving a convertible...

What people are charged for insurance is totally variable. We are all at the mercy of where we live, age, driving history Etc... You got hit with a ridiculous increase. I would dump the insurance company if they jacked me 70%. Shop around. Geico rates were much much higher than my...

    Internet entrepreneur
  6. What to replace the Shelby with Youtube series

I'd go for the new Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS Makes no sense to buy anything at the price point of the GT350 if your top range is $140K IMO there isn't anything at $60K range with more soul than the GT350. Might as well go big.
  7. Another GT350 vs GT350R Thread

Make that 10 350's in Vegas... Never see them except last night at Freemont street... Ruby Red with a black racing stripes on the rocker panels. This Sat. 7am SpeedVegas has a huge Mustang meet where we'll get a few parade laps around the track. Love to see a caravan of GT350's rolling...
  8. BLACK GT350/R Thread

Same here... Paint correction and then had the car ceramic coated with Ceramic Pro. It makes keeping a black car super easy to keep clean. As Demonic mentions the car gets dusty but its easily washed off. The car never needs to be waxed again and always has a super glossy shine.
  9. New 350 Owner

    Congrats on that black beauty.
  10. Mustang GT vs. GT350

Congrats on your new GT350! I vote to keep the stripes. I wasn't sure about them myself but they grew on me. They give the car a unique character and a reference to the Shelby heritage. Keep them for a couple of months and then decide. Enjoy those smiles and miles.

www.intercitylines.com Best in the business. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Used them for NYC to Vegas. Top shelf service.
  12. Anyone else notice increased road rage toward you?

Almost every time I take the car out it triggers a nut or two into believing their Hyundai is Lambo. I find it hilarious watching them in my rear view mirror zig zagging through traffic just to catch up to me and do a fly by. I think the exhaust note sends a primordial signal to their brains...
  13. GT Owner...Considering...EB...

get rid of the GT if you can't afford it. Take the loss and buy a used car for $10-$15K and get your savings back. Chalk it up to a lesson learned. Cars are a complete waste of money. Now let me get back to mbusa.com :D
  14. Trade in Or Private sale

I agree with lemers mods usually yield little, I think dealers especially prefer cars in stock form. NY gives a tax credit on a trade in for a new car. The tax savings on trading in a 55K car will be huge. You'll only pay tax on the difference in price between your trade and the new car...
  15. Trading in Big Red - What to get

Let's see.... this is a Mustang forum. You have a GT350 in your list...
  16. Ford techs joy riding my car...

I'd get a lawyer for sure. The OP states his engine may have been damaged. You are going to now play nice with these people and talk to them? Not if it were me. The dealership had their chance to do the right thing when they received the car. They have already shown what they are capable of, a...
  17. Clear bra (XPel) seams and coverage examples needed

Problem with repainting is you will end up right back where you started in no time. A sand blasted bumper, swirls and chips.
  18. Clear bra (XPel) seams and coverage examples needed

$7k-$9K for the car? Those are big-time rip off prices. I have the front bumper, full hood, full roof, front fenders, side mirrors and headlights and rear quarter pannels. I think I paid around $1600-$1800 for that. can't remember exactly but it wasn't double the cost of the xpel to install...
  19. Clear bra (XPel) seams and coverage examples needed

Ceramic coatings are the latest greatest in paint protection. Ceramic Pro and CQuartz are name brands. You don't need any paint protection and its one of those things that are up to each person to decide if it is something you want to spend the coin on. It's all expensive. But... to me totally...
  20. Clear bra (XPel) seams and coverage examples needed

It has nothing to do with the film. There have been a few discussions here before that revolved around covering stripes with one piece or individually. If you search google for 'xpel over stripes on hood' you'll get a bunch of car forums from Porsche to Corvettes discussing the same thing. I...
