In addition to Sonic Blue, there's also Performance Blue, which they put on the Fiesta and Focus and a few other vehicles. I saw all three of these colors outside, side-by-side at the dealership the other day. DIB was on an Explorer. It was overcast. Of the three, DIB had the least purple tint...
Dude, that sucks! Are you going to get it fixed or trade it in as is and take the hit? The reason i ask: My trade in has a couple of issues as well and I'm wondering if they're worth fixing.
I'm not sure if this was already said, but you could order a GT with PP and replace the manual transmission with an auto of your choice. That might be cheaper and easier than purchasing, installing and tuning all of the other bits.
Mine is awaiting shipping. Checked Cotus this morning and my eta date and countdown are missing. They were there last night. Must be a glitch or something, right?
No doubt you're going to take a little ribbing from your friends. If they're anything life mine though, it won't be hard to shut them up. Most of them drive cameries and their wives drives CRVs. They would kill to be in your situation.
In Production
Mine moved into production this morning! It's a stock order, priority 10. I ordered on May 28. I received my VIN about 6 weeks ago.
I don't think Cotus ever shows your build date if that's where you're checking. I think you have to ask your dealer or PM Tricia. That's how I...
That about sums it up. Not sure what the great revelation is here. If your goal is to have the fastest track or drag car for the least amount of money, the answer is never going to be buy a brand new car, strip it down and modify it.
One of the 15s at Woodward had the short-throw shifter installed. The Ford Racing shifter ball looked amazing. It shall be mine. Oh yes, it shall be mine.
I live in a fairly small city, Madison, WI. I have a Garmin. I use it about once every other month. $700 is not a lot for nav, but I just really don't need it. Same with auto cruise control. I go on the interstate maybe once a month. If I still lived in Chicago, these would be no brainer...
Nothing. This will be my daily driver. I need it to be 100% reliable. 435 plus the PP will be plenty. Ah, who am I kidding? I said the same thing the last time and then I modded the hell out of it any way.
I'm not sure if this has been posted yet or not, but here's a link to the at a glance version of the owners manual...

The ones for the S197 use the existing wiring harness and fog light switch. I would assume it will be the same way for the S550, but no way to tell for sure until the cars and the aftermarket grills start hitting the streets.
Congrats! You're going to love it! Get a subscription to 5.0 Magazine and a good set of winter tires. I would also say with mods, especially body mods, you get what you pay for. If you buy a cheap grill, it will cracked, peel and look like crap within a year or two.
