DC metro was the worst. The horizontal poles that most people reach up to grab? They're at forehead height. I can't count the number of times I smashed my head into them during rush hour commutes. But also airplanes, paying for extra legroom isn't optional - it's a mandatory ticket price...
> Unless he’s in on it
And if he is, he's still going to have to explain your dash cam footage one way or the other - either going "whoops you got us, we won't do it again" or "wtf I can't believe someone on my team did that, we won't do it again."
Obviously as part of it they're going to need...
Ultimately up to you, but first... what do you want to get out of it at the end? If it's me, the end goal is just to have them do what they said they would and not to cause a drama shitshow.
So I'd go to the dealership -- either the GM or the service manager -- and calmly explain the situation...
I thought it was the other way, that he put $35k down. Either way, it doesn't matter if you put $0 down or $80k down, as long as you can afford it. If you can't afford it, don't buy it.
Favorite part of the video. I'm gonna go give my dog a hug now.
But awesome video, Kevin. Thank you for posting all of this stuff -- I certainly don't plan on rebuilding my engine, but it's fascinating to watch and to see the level of detail you go into and to learn more in the process.
6'6", no issues with the rear view mirror although +1 on the "seeing stop lights when I'm first at the light is a pain." But that's nothing unique to the Mustang, that's any car I drive.
Honestly for something like the GT350, which is a luxury purchase and where there's a good amount of inventory (especially used), you've got all of the bargaining power. I mentioned it in another thread, but I just e-mailed my local dealership (who had the car I wanted) with a list of all of the...
Hah, if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, I'm sure there's plenty of other uses for it -- and if you run out of ideas, I'll help ;)
But yea, I'm strictly street driving. At some point, I'll probably try autocross and then maybe work my way up to track days as I get a better feel...
A buddy of mine is picking up an M2 Competition later this year, including flying to Germany to pick it up and doing the usual autobahn/track visits. I'm gonna have to pay him a visit when the car is shipped back home and check it out.
Got my car back, was fairly thorough in poking around. Everything seems good and normal, which is exactly as I'd expect. Took longer than I would have liked, but that's not the end of the world and the dealership was pretty good about taking care of me.
Hah, I tried that line. They have my GT350, the least they can do is give me something fun. The woman handling loaners gave me an awkward laugh... And gave me the keys to a Fusion. :puke:
I'll be picking mine back up first thing in the morning though!
I'm the first GT350 my dealership has done...
I am having absolutely no luck with this.
Dropped my car off at 8am today, was told it would be ready between noon and 2pm. Just got called that the dealership has been super busy and the tech wants to make sure he does a flawless job, so it will be ready at maybe 6pm tonight or else tomorrow...
