  1. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

Thanks for the video and advice. I am hoping that even though the built in dash timer is wrong that the forward acceleration of G-Force is the same for all model Mustangs. If the built in G-force meter is consistent, then we have an accurate way to measure tire A acceleration performance vs...
  2. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

The RE71R has a max size of 305 and I'm looking for a minimum size of 325. Thanks, I didn't see the RE11 specs until you mentioned them:
  3. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

Max size of Atturo az800 az850 was 285/45R19 or 285/45ZR19 http://www.atturo.com/az800/ http://www.atturo.com/az850/ I need 325 to 345 wide tires as I am hoping my wider wheels fit wider tires that get more grip.
  4. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

Thanks, I think the R888R is a newer version that is supposed to offer better traction. I'll consider it. I also confirmed the wear is good for up to 8000 miles: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c6-corvette-zr1-and-z06/3982460-toyo-r888-vs-r888r.html
  5. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

Thanks for the recommendation! Unfortunately, the Nitto NT555R has the widest size of 335/30ZR18 and no 19" sizes at all. Maybe I should have bought smaller wheels :)
  6. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

Yea, we have the same tires! Do you also get forward peak acceleration around 0.90 G-force max in 1st? All of the forced-induction cars are making easily 550+ RWHP and many are 600+ RWHP. Finding good tires for our car is my next challenge.
  7. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

I suppose I could have been more clear, "I listed the pictures of some tires that I would consider buying for my next set. I am not going to buy the drag radials since I believe the wet performance is horrible." Let me rephrase that, I am not going to buy the drag radials I listed since I...
  8. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

I also found this tire I would consider trying: POTENZA RE050A SCUDERIA - SIZE: 345/35R19, but it might be too tall to fit.
  9. Tires that Hold on Dry Asphalt at 600+ RWHP (not DR)

Hi all, I have been looking for some new tires for my 19 x 11.5 rear wheels that don't spin in 2nd and generally hold in 1st. My current MPSS (300 treadwear) 325/30R19 spin in all of 1st, 3000+ RPM in 2nd, and maybe around 5000 RPM in 3rd at WOT. I have to let off the gas in 2nd to keep them...
  10. PP Wheels (2017 - only few weeks use!)

Sold to local pickup. Thanks guys.

It was raining all day again today where I live. This car is my daily driver (work, grocery store, etc), so I don't really want to swap the wheels to no tread sticky tires for dry conditions and my MPSS for wet conditions. I don't take my car to the track either like most people who only care...

The viper I was looking at buying had 355 rear. What traction do you get on your viper with 345/355 in the rain and what kind of tires do you have on it? In dry conditions, if you launch around 2000 RPM in 1st, with WOT, do you spin at around 3700+? Do you also spin in 2nd at around 4000+ and...

I had pole position S-04 305 rear and 295 front and still slid sideways in wet conditions. I've also tried a really cheap model continental tire and had the same issue. I think the harder the tire material (more like hard plastic), the more I slide in the rain. Note the S-04 was very good in...

Anybody have a suggestion on my tire choice for the best traction on normal street asphalt without having to replace the tires in less than 10K miles that won't slip too much in wet conditions? Note they have to have 325 or 345 size in whatever I try next.

I did youtube the mustang crash in rain videos, most were not on slicks but accelerating too quickly on turns and losing control. Once the rear starts to fishtail as the road turns (at somewhat high speeds around 70+) a crash was mostly unavoidable, especially in the rain. I think hitting a...
  16. PP Wheels (2017 - only few weeks use!)

These are the original Ford high quality wheels and not some knock-offs. This non-black metallic color is also not something you can buy (at least I could not find them) since only Ford offers it as part of their new car options. I don't really want to split the wheels and tires because if...

If anybody wants my new 2017 original PP wheels and tires, PM me. Local pickup in South Florida only. I put them in the classifieds section, $1000 obo.

The original wheels and tires are not wide enough. They just spin in all of first and second gears. I bought my 2017 about a month ago and the wheel/tire swap was the first thing I did. I went with MPSS 295/30R19 fronts and MPSS 325/30R19 rears based on price/rating. I am not sure if I...
  19. Can't take the clunks! Questions for those that have gone 6R80

"Clunkiness, frequent lockout of 3rd gear on the 2-3 upshift" - I had the same issue. 3rd didn't actually work at some point. Also, the surround you have to lift up on to go into reverse didn't work at some point and the car would accidentally go into reverse instead of first. You could...
