I ran the RE71's one day in the rain after heat cycling them. Could not achieve a .75 g turn anywhere. I returned them and went with my usual Cup2's. 305/325 combo. 125mph on the straight s and .86 cornering in the rain. It does that a lot here.The Cup 2's produce 1.27/1.28 g turns in the dry...
Rotorpros are not junk product! I used them for HPDE events for 3 years with no ill effects. No cracks or glazing. I'm a senior instructor and I was driving a 5.0 hard. Wonderful car.
You really get to know your car and it's balance running in the rain. Many run square setup and that's fine for rotating tires, but I run 305/325 and the car is hooked up. Michelin Cup 2's.
I run Cup2's on my 350, 305/325's on stock rims. No problem even at the track. Speedo is 1 mph low at 60 mph though. No big deal because no one around here drives that speed.
I ran the RE11's in the rain this last weekend at The Ridge Motorsports Park. NO traction in the rain in a corner. Ok straight through. Putting Cup2's on to replace them.
