I know Royal Purple was not compatible with Mercon LV and I don't think that Mobil 1 synthetic ATF was compatible either though not 100% on that

That should tell you a lot right there if the dealer is going to give u a trade in of $55k on a Shelby with 7,000 miles to get rid of that z sitting on his lot!!

First oil change at 1000 miles I was down about 1.5 quarts. Just checked oil at 1500 miles and 1 track day almost down a quart. Dealer has no idea wants to keep checking for leaks. Broke the engine in as ford recommended.

According to Ford Performance a diff cooler isn't needed for occasional track use. No diff kits yet we have been waiting for trans kits still 6 weeks out. FP says trans is week link at the track not diff of course we don't know how hot our diffs are getting with no temp gauge

If the shelby wasn't so damn awesome in most every other way It would be a lot easier for me to just sell it and move on!!

Unfortunately I don't think that we have the numbers to put a scare into ford. If there were thousands of people maybe but I don't even know if there is a 100 people that would like to occasionally go to the track. What everyone that does not have a trans/diff cooler should realize that 240...

What do you recommend for replacing your ford Motorcraft trans fluid? IT seems like some of the higher end synthetics like royal purple were not compatible with the Mercon LV that's recommended for our Shelby's
