That's a great price, particular with modifications. Admiral is who I'm with currently but they're coming in quite high so perhaps the phone call approach is the way to go.
Had a Borla S-Type cat back exhaust fitted today - oh my god that's how it should sound!
Previously had the standard system but with an H-pipe which improved the sound a little but this is on another level. Even despite it being a dull and drizzly day I popped the roof down and went to find a...
My insurance is due next month and I was wondering if there are any companies others are using that are competitive? I have a multi-car policy at the moment but they're coming in a little expensive so wanted to shop around so any pointers would be gratefully received.
Just in case people search and find this topic I thought I would provide an update.
The oil for the 2.3 is slightly different in terms of spec and is 5w30 whereas the 5.0 requires 5w20 and the detail of the Ford spec is also slightly different.
I didn't manage to get the oil prior to my...
Thanks for all the advice. I had indeed read the wrong bit of the manual so had quoted the 2.3 spec and capacity!
Shame as I also bought the oil for the 2.3 as well but thankfully have realised ... although I suspect chances of me finding the 5.0 spec oil in time for the service tomorrow are...
Just checked the owners manual (should have done this before posting!), it states oil capacity is 5.4 litres including the oil filter and recommends 5W-30 either Castrol or Ford oil.
Oil specification is WSS-M2C913-D which means nothing to me but Castrol Magnetic Stop Start oil appears to meet...
This is what I was hoping as I'm sure the Ford dealer mark up on oil is significant and they're already charging a fortune for what is very basic work. As it's the 4 year service it's also due spark plugs which is probably unnecessary as the car hasn't yet done 14k miles!
Also, how much oil...
My car is in for it's 4th service on Monday and I was considering supplying my own oil, has anyone done this with a Ford dealer and what oil is recommended so I can see if can source what I need before Monday?
Any advice gratefully received!
I've sold a number of cars in and around that level with varying success. To be honest the default for most people is to finance so private sales can often be tricky as a result. I've also found more recently the internet means you'll get a lot of people contacting you stating they've found a...
Farnborough was where I had requested but the lady on the phone suggested Guildford as they’ve got more experience with Mustangs ... sounds like maybe not the best idea!
mid like to keep a Ford history as whilst she’s only done 13k miles she’s been serviced at Ford each year.
My Mustang GT is due it’s 4th service and I’ve been quoted £355 from Think Ford in Guildford who I believe are a performance Ford service centre.
Anyone have any experience of Think Ford in Guildford and whether the quoted price is competitive?
