Adding on to that - one of my relatives is a flight attendant for a major carrier. They're pretty firm about "no masks = no flight", ensuring people are distancing, etc. My relative says that they are back up to working multiple flights a week, cross-country, etc.
Everyone makes their own risk...
Agreed, that's not standard at all.
"new six weeks ago with 120 miles on it" -- that also seems high for a new car. I got my 2019 new in January 2020 with 8 miles on the odometer. I know of a guy local who had his GT500 taken to various shops for ceramic, PPF, etc. before he formally came into...
Hah, yea - it is a little big for a one car garage. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to bump it a little larger when we were building the house. I knew I was going to have a workbench, cabinets, etc. - plus a car - and I didn't want to have to constantly worry about knocking into...
@galaxy -- your garage still looks amazing and I want to make mine look that great. I really want to try to pull off that racing stripe paint job scheme at some point, just no idea how to make it so level (plus I hate painting).
I recently put down Swisstrax in my garage and I'm waiting on...
There are so many conditions that I'd be surprised if this applied to more than a few thousand people, and certainly nobody with a GT350 (R or otherwise).
You have to purchase it using Ford Credit, then lose your job, and "apply and be approved" within 30 days of job loss by state unemployment...
(Caveat: my class isn't until August)
I didn't see a need to stay at the host hotel. I've got plenty of Marriott points and so it was completely free for me to stay at the Courtyard Charlotte Concord, which is literally around the corner. I figure if there does end up being anything I need to...
My son's friend had his sixth birthday party this week. Obviously with all of the COVID-19 stuff, that party didn't happen. So instead his parents put out some calls and got a fire truck and a bunch of friends to drive by the house honking the horn, etc. The GT350 was requested to be a part of...
Had one question I had meant to ask @pilotgore -- you did all of that with your own GoPro, I imagine.
Do you mind sharing details about what model and how you mounted it at the various parts of the course? I've got a Hero 7 Black and would be interested in bringing it, if it didn't end up...
@pilotgore that's an awesome video, thank you for posting it! I was scheduled to be going this coming week, but now I'm in mid-August. I'll probably watch your video a dozen more times between now and then to keep the excitement going. Looks like you had a fantastic time!
Yep, I called the school the day after I purchased mine -- provided the VIN and that was enough. There's no way any of the paperwork had made it through the system yet, but they allowed it.
Yep, got the e-mail from USAA today as well. Pretty awesome of them, all things considered.
That said, I take any excuse I can to bust out the GT350 to run my errands. Gotta embrace the Mad Max lifestyle.
I'm a bit partial to Ubiquiti gear, I've got quite a lot at my house. They make wireless cameras (UVC‑G3‑MICRO) that connect to a local DVR (it's called the Cloud Key but all of the video is stored locally on your drive)...
We're under a county-wide "stay at home" order and the statewide order takes effect on Monday... but it was eighty degrees and not a cloud in the sky today. Amazing weather for a drive.
A local brewery is doing a curbside pickup for beer, so I ordered a six pack just to have an excuse to get...
Voted before I saw your "for this upcoming week" bit - sorry about that.
That said, I'm scheduled for April 21st / 22nd and am local to the school (~2 hours driving), so my vote doesn't really count as much since I don't need to interact with anyone on my way there. Still planning on going...
