Hey, just found this thread, curious to know what you went with. I have Ford ESP with about 2500 miles remaining on it. With the ESP I got a new engine and trans along with 2 alternator swaps, AC compressor, AC lines, EVAP sensor, and a few misc services here and there. It's definitely worth it...
No worries! I’m sure they will get it done but make sure you get the long block. My gen 2 motor hasn’t eaten a quart of oil ever since I got it. It’s a solid motor.
Hey brother,
I had the same issue it was drinking about 3 quarts after a few drives. I took it to the dealer and built up the case. Did a fresh oil change and recorded the consumption over a week of driving. Once they realized it was consuming excessive oil, then they did a tear down and found...
I got it replaced at 26K miles. I bought the car off someone when it was around 23K miles but immediately noticed the car was eating oil. Engine was running fine but I built the case with my dealer and got it done.
I have 47000 miles on my 2017. So far I’ve had an engine replaced due to oil consumption and transmission replaced because a bearing inside went bad and chipped a gear and some other wear and tear. New alternator and high pressure AC lines.
Still have warranty remaining so I’m hoping if anything...
There seems to be. I am not sure what is the pedigree of the one I got. I got it in March and it was shipped from the US. I would assume whatever gen it is, it's probably the latest.
There is no point in tooling up a new block and not using it.
I have put some miles on the new engine and it...
Well when I purchased it, the dealer did a fresh oil change. After driving about 2000 KM, I noticed the oil pressure gauge was not holding steady during warm up. I got concerned and checked the oil level. Turned out the dipstick was clean. I put in 6 quarts initially to bring it up to level...
Yes, you are correct! Its just the block that uses the same material and is beefed up to withstand higher pressures. All other components are Gen2 but nothing to do with the GT500.
Hi guys, I just purchased a 2017 GT350 from the dealer. Turned out after a month of driving I had put in 8 quarts of 5W50 Ford oil in it. Took it to the dealer for a consumption test and the picture attached will explain everything that happened to get a new motor installed in the vehicle. To be...
