I have the same exact noises coming from mine. Did you ever get it checked out? I've already had my transmission rebuilt once and had to drive a convertible Ecoboost around for a month while they fixed it lol

The hottest it's been here since I put mine on was about 80 degrees. I made the mistake of tightening the nuts down before peeling off the adhesive, so at first it wasn't making much contact with the trunk. I loosened the nuts and it fixed it. Maybe you should loosen the nuts a bit?
