The 302 only lasted in the Mustang till '95 and the '96+ Cobra with the 4.6 DOHC Matched the LT1s HP..... The 03-04 Cobras were pretty damn close in price to the SS Camaros and way less than the WS6 T/A.

Ford hasn't made a V-4 in a while. All the 4s are I4s. It is the weight difference and I would bet gearing as well that helps.

I agree 100%, I would be more shocked if it wasn't a ringer than if it was. Most Automakers have ringers as presscars or when they do headline news stuff like timed ring runs. Look at Ferrari they have a horrid rep of having ringers.

Saleen has done engineering for Ford too. Granted the company is rebuilding from the whole Steve Saleen leaving and coming back so it might be a while before we see a S550 from them. My guess is Roush as well.

I dont know about that. I moderate a regional car forum and once you get past the inital pissing the exachage of different car people is pretty good and fun.
