  1. TK-421 - Oxford White '15 Ecoboost, PP, 6MT

Check your charge pipe clamps. Apparently, my 3 year old nephew tightened the clamps at the factory. Double check the clamps at the turbo. They "looked" good from the front, but a mirror revealed that the pipe was not flush with the turbo.
  2. TK-421 - Oxford White '15 Ecoboost, PP, 6MT

Quick Tip: After close to 30 years of use, the rubber in my 5/8 spark plug socket no longer held the SP in place. The flip side... my new socket, wont let go of the plug! After installing the SP, my extension would separate at the socket leaving the socket in the well. Duct tape to the rescue!
  3. TK-421 - Oxford White '15 Ecoboost, PP, 6MT

After reading the following post, I took a quick look at my spark plugs and was pleasantly surprised. All were at, or close to .028! http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21317

Swiss Cheese Grille Mode I couldn't have all the folks with GT grilles have all the fun! Unfortunately, the V6/Ecoboost grilles are constructed differently, so its much harder to perform the Grille delete mod. I compromised, and performed the Swiss Cheese Grille Mod since I was also...

  9. .

Thanks 5.0hopeful. My 2015 Ecoboost makes the same noise as post 33 at shut down. It seems to occur more at colder temperatures. I'll follow your lead and take a video to show Ford Service in the event they are unable to duplicate the problem.
  10. Anyone use an oil change pump?

Ok, I was able to extract 5 out of the 5.7quarts the manual states. That's 87.7 Percent of the capacity. I plan on using the method between factory recommended oil changes. I figure you have to lift the car when you replace the oil filter, so you might as well perform a conventional drain...
  11. Rotella T6 5w-40 diesel engine oil on ecoboost?

Manual specifies 5.7 quarts. So yes, I'd pick up 6.
  12. Oil Extractor/Evacuator Experience

Agreed, draining from the drain bolt is most certainly more thorough. However, given that this is in addition to the factory recommended service, I'm comfortable with this method. Between what's left in the pan and the oil filter, there's no doubt you'll drain more fluid. The oil will be...
  13. Oil Extractor/Evacuator Experience

Recently, I read a post regarding oil evacuator/extractors. I thought I'd share my experience using this method on my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost. I plan on performing a proper oil and oil filter change per the maintenance schedule. I recommend performing this"OIL ONLY" change IN ADDITION to the...

  15. 16 Camaro prices

I have to try real hard to notice the difference between the 5 and 6G Camaros. The tapered front does look better though. Definitely evolutionary.
  16. Anyone use an oil change pump?

I've had my Mityvac 7201 for close to a decade. Works great for my E39, where my oil filter is up top. That's said, I'm thinking about using it to replace the oil between full oil and filter changes.
  17. Oil Leak. Check your oil filter...

I had a few drops of oil dripping out of my car every day. Turns out the oil filter wasn't torque'd to spec from the factory. It looks to have loosened over 3k miles. Fortunately, the oil level was still within spec. Just because it's new, don't assume it doesn't leak...
