Has anybody claimed those cars as being their cars yet?

I will be telling my dealer to leave the cover on until I see it first and can help unwrap it like a big present. Then I can take note of the delivery miles and let them know that I do not want it to increase!!

I am sure about this. I have heard that the first units to hit the dealerships would be the showroom cars and just thereafter, handover to the owners would begin.

No, they are customer cars. One customer was already able to take a seat in it

No one had to pay a deposit in Germany. It is not a usual practice.

Same in NL. I didn't pay a dime yet. However, by signing the contract you agree to buying it. So unless they are not able to deliver what they promised in due time, they have your money.
