Hey guys,
I know this thread is a few years old, but I just got my 2015 Mustang GT Premium with 23,000 miles on it and am experiencing vibration in the drivetrain once I get up to 80mph+ I was looking at a carbon fiber drive shaft as well, and wanted to know about any NVH if any you have encountered with either brand. I looked on beefcakeracing and didn't see the QA1 option anymore.

Back in November of 23 on this thread you said you tried both. I was just on their site today, and they had them listed.

QA one no longer makes driveshafts. They haven’t made driveshafts in a year or longer. They sold all their equipment. It’s possible there may be a strangler or two left almost everything was sold the year ago.

If you have a specific application, I can check. But almost everything was sold. There may be one or two Manuel driveshaft left possibly

QA one isn’t out of business. They’re a huge company. They just got out of the driveshaft business.

There are people who have had issues with balance on the DSS aluminum DS, but I've been running a DSS CF DS for 50k+ miles and haven't had a single issue. Went with DSS instead of QA1 because there was a member on here who had one rebuilt and bought a new one while it was out. I got a great deal when he got the rebuilt one back, and it still looks new when I put it up in the air.

you can get a balance issue on any driveshaft DSS puts out probably 20 to 30 times amount of driveshafts that QA One ever even thought about doing so there’s always a chance of more issues but on an S5 50 you have a better chance of issues anyway, simply because you cannot set opinion angle on an IRS car
They are always going to be more prone to vibration than a car where you can set your opinion an angle

That’s one of the other reasons QA one quit making them because they were getting the same complaints from people and they got tired of it. It wasn’t worth it to them

I've got a 2015 Mustang GT Premium with a manual transmission. If you can check, that would be great!

What's funny Terry, After doing a forum search for driveshaft NVH, I only see DSS and Steeda with issues. Not that they might have have some with NVH, it's just DSS And Steeda complaints are alot. For me, I would never put any other after market driveshaft, I just wouldn't want the possibility of vibration and having to hear about pinion angles causing it. But that's just me.later

DSS probably sells if I had to guess just based on what we do 40 to 50 times the amount at least the QA one ever thought about

So if you’re selling 50 times the amount you’re going to get 50 times more complaints

just the nature.

I’ve ran nothing but DSS on all 7 of my 550 and 650 cars with 0 issues.

i’ve had complaints on both less on QA one but I sell 50 to 1DSS to QA one
