Reciprocating saw with a short blade and took my time to make sure it was straight
Measure twice, cut once!

Needed a longer knob from track use and I love Raceseng's quality so I got the cylinder top with 150 handle

Have any pictures of that installed? Been wanting a taller shift knob setup myself for track.

Just went to put it in for you. I park in an underground garage. Will take better pictures when outside. But man it feels amazing. Weighted perfectly

Looks good. Does it retain the lockout function for reverse? Also, let us all know how you like it after a track day.

Thanks for sharing! :like:

Sure does Todd. I have a MGW so no pull up collar but they designed it where it will work with it. Will definitely give feedback in a few weeks

mocked up the smoked tail light covers i bought off ebay. too many imperfections and streaks in the plastic for me, so i'm returning them. thought about installing my MP concepts grille but procrastinated. installed my GPE ported stock throttle body. cars runs smoother now especially between shifts, and seems to have a tiny bit more power. i'm happy

Hey, if you start getting more dates after installing that thing, I don't think it'll be for your driving skills or looks. And if you have a wife, better lock your car and hide the keys. Ha ha. J/K man. Seriously, did you weigh the thing? I think the 'ideal' weight is like 1/2-lb, which I believe is what the Bullitt ball weighs. And how did that change the notchiness and 'nibble'? Just curious. Thx.

And finally, with the stock shifter, using reverse would be a really weird 2-hand affair with the lockout ring that low, no? Seems to me that shifter is only suitable for A/M ones without that ring.

Haha..She'll definitely make me switch back to my short knob . According to Raceseng's site it weighs 544 grams. I have had their Ashiko (heaviest knob ever) and now I use their Slammer knob which is perfect size, weight, and shape. I had a track day over the weekend and the short knob was really hindering shifting performance so I will use this one for the track. I have a MGW X Spec + BG fluid so the nibble I feel is just from the shifter having such short throws.

I have a MGW so its push down reverse. And having a weighted knob definitely helps

DIY oil change. Cost under $50 with full synthetic, and I also know it was done right.

Wow, the old oil was cooked! Running so much smoother and quieter now. Reused my drain plug since there’s only 6K miles on the car and it was in perfect condition, though I did pick up a spare. Castrol Magnatec 5W20 at $20 for a 5 quart jug (x2), and a Motorcraft FL500S for $5, everything from Amazon.

the magnatec 5w20 seems overpriced for some reason. i use the 0w20....16.97 for a 5 quart jug

It’s $3.03 more for the extra 5w’s.

Oh, I also switched over (from a nasty faded license tag frame) so something simpler, and that solves the rattling problem without using duct tape :)

Got (for Dad's Day :) ) one of the Rightcar silicone license plate frames, very cool, kind of fits around the plate like a phone case, very minimal (mine is black but they have a few colors), and of course, it won't rattle.

My plate screws looked bad too, so I gave them a couple of coats of some flat black rattle can paint, they look great!

Got the earl changed. 500 miles on her, plus it was a leftover 2019 so the earl was a year + old.

Can I red line her now?? Lol
