I recently purchased a 2019 gt convertible, and went on an extended drive at highway speeds over the weekend. I was surprised to see so much flapping/rippling of the top. I would have put the caps on to see if it helped but like everyone else mentioned, mine are home on the garage shelf! Do the caps prevent this air from getting in and ruffling the fabric when driving ?

I’ve never noticed it flapping about without the caps.

The caps are really there for looks and to keep leaves and debris from falling inside. I suppose they may keep a small amount of air from entering, but it's not part of the design. If the folded top is flapping or moving, it sounds like it's not down all the way. If have a technician verify operation.
