Anybody ever heard of TKM motorsports out of NC?
Sponsored
I have a couple of options. I'm looking at the Aluminator, The Powerstorm Pro Series shortblock from livernois motorsports. Link below
https://www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP750124
Let TKM build my motor. Manley H beam Rods, Custom weisco TKM spec, rod bearings and main bearings etc etc
Or go with the Mondular Head shop 1000 short block. Link below

Please help!!! What would you do? Thanks
Lol thanks man. I currently have a vortech V7JT id 1000 injectors torque booster. I don't want anything to extreme just tired of the ringlands breaking. I want to be able to make 800whp 850whp all day long without any issues. Probably will run on 10lbs since I'll be on 93 save up and get a fuel system to run E85 and turn up the boost to 14lbs. Only thing i like about the Aluminator is it comes with a warranty. I wish I could afford the I beams and sleeves but I'm working with a small budget.I have a TKM built Boss 5L 3V, Kevin and his group do very good work ..
I'd go I-beam over the H. H-beams really weren't designed to turn the rpm the 'Yote turns.
TKM is local to me,, Kevin's bunch has built me a couple 3v shortblocks, 1st one was a .010 overbore stock stroke 3v 11:1 cr .. Roush Gen1 TVS 18lbs boost made 620rwhp and 1000 with a healthy shot of nitrous. I ran it for 3yrs,
Current motor is a big bore Boss 3v shortblock, 10:1 cr, Turning it into a twin turbo grudge car and going to hit it with whatever nitrous is needed to make these beeches cry around here ...
He has built several local Coyote motors, They do good work and a decent turn around time ...
.
What compression should I run with a supercharged car?
What about the Manley H tuff rods? I was looking on their website. Manley says they can handle 1000hp at the crank. I guess they're the strongest H beam rod that Manley makes? The i beams are around $1400 which is out of budget. H tuff rods are around 800. I don't want anything to extreme. If it can handle a 1000 and make 850whp all day long without issues.... I'm good. What do you think? If you're feeding it corn ----> 12-2-One ---- //
The Carrillo Bullet and the Wiseco Boostline Ford modular rods are $1200 ... They aren't much more than the Manley heavy H beam.
The fact that Manley had to beef up their H beam to handle boost and more rpm should tell ya' to use an I beam ...
And the advertised weight of the Carrillo's show they are considerably lighter than the Wiseco's and Manley heavy H ...

Ummm what does that mean lol. Never put a motor together before lol? The H tuff rods won't work in the coyote?Htuff uses a 3/8 bolt, check out Molnar power adder rods. 7/16 arp2000 bolt in those and a touch more cost effective.
It means the Molnar rod has a stronger rod bolt and is cheaper.Ummm what does that mean lol. Never put a motor together before lol? The H tuff rods won't work in the coyote?
Thanks manIt means the Molnar rod has a stronger rod bolt and is cheaper.
