I do love this color combo but the stripes seem to thin, something about the proportions seems off.

Evan: I do know what you're talking about. But, the stripes are identical from one car to the next. I think it's because of all the black in the grill and heat exchanger vent in the photo on the right combining with the stripes. Even though the dimensions of the stripes are identical, (ten inches if memory serves,) the white stripes look "fatter" because of the illusion.

I agree they are the same from white to black, in my head they would look more appropriate at 12 inches each. Just a little more beef , of course its just my opinion.

Im not getting stripes so really no dog in the fight.

I looked very closely at this car today and it was an outstanding color combination and also had very good OTT Painted Stripes from Team Penske as well and was chassis # PP0021.

In addition the drivers windshield wiper arm did not come in contact with the leading edge of the aluminum hood when extended up unlike the R models therefore a terrific change on Ford's part.

Based on what I could see today the leading edge of the aluminum hood of the GT500 has been redesigned compared to the 350R models.

Will give you all an update on the "OTT Painted Stripes" process at the FRAP/Team Penske plants sometime in the next day or so based on my complete understanding.

Cool car for sure and a terrific looking color/stripe combination!

I am fairly certain that was the same Rapid Red Base Model with OTT Painted Black Stripes that was outside of Barrett-Jackson last week. I think I can see my drool still on it...

Thanks, Keller...that's a good shot despite the IG format...'course, I'm a wee bit biased to that color combo. <smile> And if you want a copy of my upsampled version to 1080, PM me.
