......a side road in WNC?
Anyone on here ever drive this road? (NC226-A)
It starts at the BRP and goes down the mountain thru Little Switzerland and
continues on to NC226 again, around 12 miles.
Really a curvy, treacherous road with switchbacks and hairpin turns, not to mention bluffs.
Motorcyclists love it and I've seen several car clubs driving it; Porsche, MG and Corvette
among others.
It is just a couple miles from me and I don't drive it regularly except on the Harley or the Sky.
I came back from my mom's yesterday and I decided to drive it. (time mostly)
Did pretty good considering I've never really handled the Mustang much in curves. It does need
better tires before there is much in the way of serious handling driving W/speed.

Iā€™m from a little further north so Iā€™m not familiar with the area. Whereā€™s this located at? Sounds like an excellent drive!

Yes the location is very vague, we don't all live in your area so assuming WNC relates to Western North Carolina, and BRP is Blue Ridge Parkway. Most will not know where you are talking about. Is Diamond Back name of road or slang
But on the other hand, if you don't live in that area, you aren't gonna drive hours to get there and drive it so, "it really doesn't matter anyway" as Hillary Clinton would say.
