So big day for the pony car. Following bits installed by JAX in Mitchell Canberra

6G 20 x 10 seven spoke gloss black rims (front), 20 x 11 (rear) and Michelin boots 275/35/20 front and 295/35/20 rear.
White line sway bars front and rear on soft setting
BMR Spherical bearings (rear)
BMR adjustable toe rods
BMR front K brace
Lowered 25mm all round on Vogtland adjustable coilover kit

Next level handling. More to follow with better picks. I'd just say that the installer did a brilliant job

That could be my car! I have 5 spoke black gloss wheels - just waiting to pick them up tomorrow. Great photos.

Better pics from the install

Couple of observations:

The OEM centre caps fitted back in perfectly. The tyre pressure monitor sensors were fitted back by the workshop at their respective original corners and so there was no TPMS error code on the dash. The Michelins are way quieter than the Pirellis and so there is reduced road noise. The coilover kit fitted with no problem and there are no weird squeaks or rattles etc. There is damn near no squat in the car and the car feels incredibly planted. The ride is firmer - which to me is a selling point - but not harsh.

When I bought the rims I was a bit anxious about where the rim and tyre combo would end up in terms of proximity to the guard and some of the pics I had seen weren't exactly comforting. I was particularly concerned about tires poking out from the guards. As you see from the pics there isn't an issue and there is more than enough clearance. This is a 25mm drop in height which also has the advantage that I clear standard curbs and speed bumps :like:.

Note that when you purchase from American Speed you also get the lug nuts for the wheels as part of the buy so no need to buy them separately. I did not buy camber plates for the set up as they were not required. I may end up adding a bump steer kit to the front and replacement bearings for the front - but I think that will be it. I did consider the new rear end BMR chassis brace but I think that would be too stiff given the changes in coilovers, the cradle lock out kit already installed together with the other components.

One happy camper

Paul

Its to do with the pedestrian safety system on the Mustang, that's not on the Camry.

Yeah I know it is, my comment was tongue in cheek. I don't see why there would need to be that point of difference in a Mustang though, over dozens of other mid to large size cars that have struts. The GT500 has a central strut also, albeit quite a different setup.
