Recently? That’s interesting, thanks for the info. Can you provide the thread that video was posted? I watch these boards religiously and missed it.
Mustang chief engineer Carl Widmann talks about it in this video.
The first 30 minutes are about the 2019 GT350 and 2020 GT500.

I'm probably waaaay to optimistic here but I think there's a chance Ford shocks the world and joins the 800 HP club with the GT500. I know I know...

I doubt it but sure would be cool. Like really cool!!!!!!!

A lot of stuff in there, but he said they tried to give it the same handling characteristics as the 350, but with over 200 more hp.

He also said they’re at the limit of what 700hp can be put to the ground, and he can’t use all the power. It was designed for big tracks, with big mph.

Hmm, starting to think it may be good at some tracks and not others.

I’ll keep my original guess of 720. The test cars they run could have even 300hp more. I don’t know.

But it doesn’t matter if it has 720 or 790, you can’t use all that power through 315 rear tires.

Ya but Ford did put 662 hp riding on 285's
