I've got a Flowmaster American Thunder Axle Back on mine, bid on an X pipe on ebay not expecting to win but I did , I bought another standard exhaust so any cutting doesn't affect the original so I might give it a go to see how loud it is

Just got hold of this thread. Yep my car was pretty much Nascar loud. :cwl: But recently I've had some mufflers put back on and a cut out valve system. So when closed it's not a great deal louder than stock tbh. But when open it's back to it's glorious best. So neighbours are now talking to me again and I still get to hurt earholes. Best of both worlds. :)

I'm running a Kooks Axle back which has smaller mufflers (they call them racing mufflers) that the RAB. Kooks do also offer a straight through option, but this set up is perfect for me. Cruising around with the windows up it's not too intrusive. Wind the windows down and give it hell and it sunds like a dirty old school V8. Just how I like it.
