I do pretty much what FMGTV8 (Don) does.
I go away for work for up to 10-15 days at a time sometime so something like this is essential.
Great smart chargers and cheap. Through the OBDII connector I don't open the hood.

Hi Greg. :thumbsup: Yeh, it is so easy using this method but just be careful with OBD plug ... (it is designed to only power up a diagnostic tool) .... your charger is 3.5 amp and the plug may get a bit warm with that current flow.
It will be OK if you are just trickle charging the battery (battery maintenance) but I would not advise to recharge a "flat battery" this way.

Thanks Don,. I generally just put it on before I go away for trickle/maintenance charging.
If the battery is ever discharged to some degree I'll connect it to the battery first, thanks for the advice.
