What do you tell people when they say why didn't you buy a Porsche/Maserati/BMW/etc. instead of buying two muscle cars? I'm looking at doing the same thing, have a 2017 ZL1 and looking at buying a 2018 GT350. My answer to these people is, because I don't want cars that cost a fortune to repair, fortune to maintain. The maintenance cost on these two vehicles is far less than any of the Audi's I've owned in the past, put together.
My answer is I only buy American for starters. I also believe that both the GT350 as well as the ZL1 1LE will always been known as iconic specialty vehicles along with my Ford RS. In an age that is 95% automatic, I think it's cool that these 3 in my garage can only be had as manuals.

Agreed on buying American, everything in my garage is Chevrolet or Harley Davidson, although I did own foreign sport bikes because there weren't any US ones made except Buell, and they were so so. But with arthritis in my right knee I couldn't ride in that position longer than 15 minutes anymore. And I think these cars have style, just like the old muscle cars did. The European's make fine cars, but they just don't have that "look" that I like. They have that refined look and stance, like a guy who goes to the country club and plays golf. I go to the dragstrip, racetrack or hang out at biker bars. The loafers, Rayban aviators, dress shorts, gold chain wearing crowd just ain't my style. I like a little more crude and rude styling, which I think the American auto builders have perfected with the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger. Even the Corvette has some rudeness compared to its Euro and Asian counterparts.

I just know one of them is going to pee on the other one! Just got the ZL1 on Friday and I love it. It will fit into my garage nicely! I can't wait to break it in and open her up!

Initial observations:

1) Ride/suspension is awesome. For all those folks that say it's too harsh, they must just be used to a cushy ride as it's no harsher than the GT350 in track mode and my Ford RS in track mode is actually harsher.

2) Rear visibility is zero, all I can see is a giant wing....but I love it!

3) It sounds great, but not better than the GT350 at WOT. :D

Regards

You hope they get along?

They are like football fans; very competitive against each other, but they will get to gether to make fun of soccer fans.

That’s the truth. You settled in PA now?
