  1. tuner for hp tuner mpiv2

Daniel, I own Knox Performance Tuning in Knoxville. I can tune your Mustang
  2. Headers?

Here’s a dyno from a 2017 GT350 that I tuned. Car was stock running 93 octane. Dynojet using STD Smoothing 5. Gained ~15hp and 5tq. Could probably play with VCT a bit and smoothing things out and maybe pick up a bit more.
  3. 18+ 10r80 TUNER suggestion

I’ve tuned the 10R80 with excellent results in both EcoBoosts and Coyotes
  4. How bad is Bama tune?

I’ve seen several that were bad. Some very rich and smoking. I’ve written tunes that corrected them and my customer was much happier with my tune than Bama tune.
  5. Free Magnaflow Tru X

I have catless Long Tubes, a Magnaflow Resonated X pipe and Pypes Street Pro axlebacks that are touring type mufflers v very conservative. I wanted things quieter so I added Stainless Bros 12” Resonators and they are straight through so no restriction. Exhaust is much quieter, especially at idle...
  6. Crazy rasp after TSP catless longtubes install

I have catless LTs and had 12" Stainless Bros resonators installed just aft of the collectors in place of the cats and then they go into a Magnaflow Resonated X pipe and I have Pypes Street Pro axle backs that are a touring axle back similar to Borla touring or Roush touring axle backs. It...
  7. DIY Tuning! What are the advantages or cons of HP Tuners or SCT?

The Ford Beginner book for the Coyote engines is pretty good. They’ve added material for 2015+ to improve it but it isn’t perfect. Still not a bad book over all. The EcoBoost material is an online video series and you can watch the videos as many times as you want. They don’t have a book yet but...
  8. DIY Tuning! What are the advantages or cons of HP Tuners or SCT?

The Tuning School is the only one who teaches you how to specifically tune a Coyote or EcoBoost. They have a solid program but it isn’t perfect. They’re improving their documentation and support and the seminar you attend is done by Tony Gonyon and he is fantastic! I have really enjoyed learning...
  9. How to quiet down the Outlaw

I had Stainless Bros resonators welded in and it reduced volume, got rid of rasp and deepened tone
  10. Remote tuners without using Ngauge

By locked, I mean you cannot read the tune and see the parameters. The tune is encrypted. It’s done to protect Intellectual Property. Even when you data log PIDs using an NGauge you can only read so much. Not saying you can’t see useful info but the pros have to protect what they do or everyone...
  11. Remote tuners without using Ngauge

Any tune you buy from PBD, Lund, or any other big name tuner is going to be locked where you can't open the tune or change any settings in it. Even if you could, you need to know what you are doing. On 2015+ Coyotes there are 26 Mapped Points tables just for Spark.
  12. Remote tuners without using Ngauge

HP Tuners has a great support network. Not sure about SCT, I don't know anything about tuning with that product. I started out buying a tune from Rob Shoemaker and after a couple years I decided I wanted to learn more about tuning so I started diving into that and went with The Tuning School...
  13. Remote tuners without using Ngauge

You can tune your own car using HP Tuners software and the MPVI2 to read your stock tune and load back the custom tune. I wouldn’t recommend doing all that without getting some training on it. I took the Ford Beginner class at The Tuning School and have learned a ton but there is always plenty...
  14. Ebay Headers

You shouldn’t. As long as you have the proper pieces to connect to your midpipe you should be all set!
  15. Ebay Headers

I installed my 2M headers early in January and they fit perfectly. Was able to reuse all the factory studs. Great looking welds, and the gauge of the steel is the same as the big name headers. Time will tell how well they hold up.
