I was brought home from the hospital in my parents' blue on blue '67 fastback, so you could say I was born into these cars. The pisser is that my arrival forced that car to be traded for a Fairlane station wagon. Ugh. If they would have kept the Mustang, I'd likely have it today.

I think if enough of them locked up at highway speed as a result of the flaws, there might be a chance. I know I wouldn't mind if my '19 F150 was recalled for this. That transmission is a steaming pile, and I'd wager a replacement would be better.

As I said earlier, my '15 stickered for $40,015. It's a premium with the only options being the PP at $2,495 (what a steal that was then) and premier accent trim at $395.

Ah, but I have no DESIRE for the S650, so there's that. I'm more apt to buy a new boat these days. You want to talk expensive....

Even if the S650 was drop dead gorgeous (news flash -- it's not), I'd have a hard time justifying that expense; a few weeks ago I B&P'd a GT similar to my '15 and it was well over $60K. Nah. My '15 stickered for $40,015 and IIRC I paid around $36K for it through X-plan. Hell of a difference...

Yep. And I think it's gonna be a favorite. Because even though that thread I mentioned on Page 1 seemed dumb at the time, the knuckle dragger part of me really wanted to see someone drop a snotty Godzilla in an S550.

This is much of why I went with a plain ol' GT with my current car. Granted, a PP car has its share of bespoke parts. Not to mention I can mod away to my heart's content this time and not worry about tainting a special edition car.

I'm more worried about the various computer modules and such long term than hard parts.

I'll add to what I've said about my dislike for the S650 dash.... I bought the wife a decked-out new Escape ST-Line last March. It features a giant, tacked-on screen in the middle of the dash, as well as a IP screen. Both of us dislike the lack of physical buttons, more so the wife...
