  1. Richard Hammond drives the 2021 Mach 1

Same here. I enjoyed it for what it was. I think it was better than the Bullitt "promo" . The concept of having fans ask direct questions was unusual. Overall I like the car and it's on my short list. Only thing I don't like is the MagnaRide suspension due to it's complexity and possible repair...
  2. Leak!! Area behind passenger flooded with water

Good that Ford was able to find it. As long as I can remember, Ford drain design has been horrible. The SN95 verts have the water running from the cowl through the frame rails (under the sill trim) and exiting through little slits out the back in front of the rear wheels. The other problem I...
  3. Weird idling

Not Mustang specific, but carbon build up on EGR valve is a common cause of poor idle, especially when coming to a stop. Often no code gets set. Just a suggestion.
  4. 2018 Mustang Gt ticking noise

That sounds absolutely horrible. Someone at a Mustang show I went to this past summer had a car, I think it was a 2019 though, that sounded like yours. When he drove down the corral to find a spot to park/show his car, we were all wondering what was wrong with his car due to the awful sounds...
  5. 2019 BMW M3 vs 2019 Mustang GT

Same here. Both are fine cars but for me, driving the Mustang puts a smile on my face. Highly subjective of course!
  6. 2019 BMW M3 vs 2019 Mustang GT

For me, 59 yo, driving a Mustang puts a smile on my face. So does a Vette and to a lesser degree Camaro and Challenger. BMW M cars are without question fine cars, but to be honest aside from us car nuts, nobody knows what they are because they look like every other car on the road. There is no...
  7. Quality Issue in my 2018 GT Premium or Normal?

Someone was asleep on the line that day :(
  8. Stupid Misfire

Sorry for delay in replying. So I performed this like 8 years ago with an SCT 2 tuner and the current version at the time of LiveWire. As I recall, I just selected something like "Spark and Ignition" from the list of events to data-log. So when I displayed the results, most of the cylinders had...
  9. Stupid Misfire

When I had a similar situation, misfire w/no codes on my 2003 I ended up data logging through the SCT tuner connected to a laptop (stock tune and COP in car) and found the 2 sick COP right away by looking at the misfire data graph. Replaced them, with stock models and it's been fine ever since...
  10. 2019 GT Rattle

I've been following this one and I sure feel your pain.. I have an 03 GT with a buzzing somewhere around the center of the top of the dashboard.. It's like loose plastic.. I've taken apart literally everything, drove around with the gauge cluster somewhat in my lap etc... Gutted it... A-pillers...
  11. Front PP1 Strut Failure

I had a similar problem on a 92 Caprice rear shocks.. They rattled. And rattled badly.. Turned out the damper was loose in the tube and even though everything appeared correct, it wasn't. I did the same as you and finally replaced them on my own and fixed the problem.
  12. Why I don't buy Chevy from Ford Dealers.....

Yes they did. Especially in the 80's where computer technology was new and the sensors and control devices were more electro mechanical, like metering rods in carbs that were controlled by solenoids etc... This was mainly emissions type nightmares. And it was bad. REALLY bad. But my point is...
  13. Why I don't buy Chevy from Ford Dealers.....

... or Ford from Chevy dealers etc.... So passed by a local Ford dealer, mom and pop operation with mostly trucks because I live in a farming community, sort of... So they had a beautiful 2018 Camaro 2SS vert with 6k miles on it. Car was loaded with options... I'm brand agnostic and looking for...
  14. Extended Warranty.. did you, or did you not?

Is there a difference in price/coverage if you get say the 8yr/125k warranty just before the standard factory warranty is about to expire, OR if you purchase it, say from Flood, the day you buy your car? It seems to me because of the overlap in coverage, it would be best to buy the warranty as...
  15. Seriously, How many tick/rattle engines in the last 2 months?

Right. But what confuses me is between manufacturing, transporting and then sitting on the lot between test drives by prospective buyers, the oil obviously drains back to the pan leaving whatever is left coating the parts. So why is a first oil change any different than the above scenario? You...
