  1. Why I enjoy 17GT more than my 18Z06

I don't mind the 8 speed in the Z06 but the paddle shifter delay is absolutely terrible. . . terrible.
  2. Why I enjoy 17GT more than my 18Z06

Yes, I guess I will keep her around. ;) I am going to the local C8 launch event at the end of the month hopefully I will be able to hold out until the Z06 version comes out.
  3. Rumble at idle.

It will shake a little but the amount it shakes varies, not sure exactly why. It is the same with most larger more capable engines. Even with it shaking you shouldn't see the RPM gauge bouncing if at all.
  4. Why I enjoy 17GT more than my 18Z06

I am right there with you. I have a '17 Z06 and enjoyed it greatly until I got my '18 GT PP1 Vert. Since I have had the Mustang I have put 13k miles on it and only 1k miles on the Z06. There is no denying that the Z06 is faster and looks more exotic but the Mustang sound better, can be tossed...
  5. North Carolina Roll Call!!!

I used my '18 GT PP1 all winter without issue. That being said I have been thinking about getting a set of all seasons for the winter months. Just be aware of the temperature out and drive cautious when the weather is below 40. I have had a few Vettes and their tires really get you to drive...
  6. Any benefit to supercharge newer engine?

I am loving my Mustang but want to add a SC to get a little more power out of it. I don't track or drag but want to get additional power under the hood. My '18 GT is a little over a year old and has 13k miles on it. Is there any benefit to purchasing a new Mustang and putting on the Roush SC...
  7. Convertible owners that completely removed the sound tube...

I removed the sound tube from my '18. I tried to remove it by pulling it out and was able to do so after cutting the sound tube in half. After I pulled it I plugged the hole with the plug that a number of others have used on the forum and used HVAC tape on top of it as well. Removing the tube...
  8. Typewriter/BBQ tick

Ceratec is a suspension of ultra-fine ceramic particles. They are intended to fill micro scratches and imperfections. As they get compressed and heated they fuse together forming and extremely hard and smooth surface. This coating is supposed to last 4 oil changes and requires physical removal...
  9. Typewriter/BBQ tick

The 'tick' is typical for a high pressure direct infection engine. I have had a few of them and they all sound the same. My '17 Z06 Vette tick is so much worse than my Mustang. I use Ceratec and for me it didn't get rid of the tick but it did help with engine noise overall and the cars drive...
  10. 2019 Mustang GT Engine Tick

There is no arguing that engines can go bad that being said you will hear a normal engine tick with the high pressure DI pumps. The engine tick you hear with a Mustang isn't as bad as something such as a Corvette.
  11. Do your back windows not close all the way?

I have the same issue. This is just a design limitation, there is a lot of resistance when the front windows are up. You can see if the back window needs adjustment to help and can lube the seals to reduce the friction resistance. I use Dielectric grease which has been used by Vette owners...
  12. For those who traded a vehicle you loved, for an S550, was it worth it?

We traded in a '12 Jeep SRT for our '18 GT Vert and I love it. It is a great mixture of performance and everyday convenience. Much to the displeasure of my wife I actually prefer to drive it over the '17 Z06 Vette. Heck I am trying to convince her to let me sell the Vette and Mustang to get a...
  13. A10 Park to Drive Squat

The 'squat' has become even worse now to the point that it will jar you with the initial violent squat and then bounce 4 to 6 times after the initial squat. If you are looking at the car from outside it looks like I am running an air suspension and purposefully doing it. Unfortunately it looks...
  14. A10 Park to Drive Squat

It has been a while since I have had a Mustang, I guess it is more prevalent with them. As some said it may be how loose the read end of the Mustang is compared to other cars. The squat has increased with more mileage but that may be the suspension of the Mustang breaking in?? Haven't had...
  15. A10 Park to Drive Squat

I have had my '18 with the A10 transmission for a little over 2 months and 2k miles. One thing I have noticed is that when switching from Park to Drive the back of the car will 'squat' down. The 'squat' is only occurring at the back of the car, the front is fine. When the 'squat' occurs the...
