Yeah, I drove around for 2 weeks with no interior, then got tired of it, slapped the sound deadening material on everything and put it back together.

This s--t is still driving me crazy! It comes and goes and the amp/speakers I added help a ton, but that intermittent rattling is persistent. Nothing I found on the internet has been the issue or has worked. Any more suggestions here? I was ready to sell the car, but who would buy it??? haha

Ok, final post on the outcome. Although I was able to replace the bearing and clutch, the compressor was shot. So the gratification I got from "fixing" the issue, was short lived. But I bought a cheap compressor and valve, swapped them out, then got the system recharged by a Yelp reviewed...

123k on my 17 GT. Can't remember what it came with (Pirelli's?). I've had Hankook, which I always put on my 02 GT, Michelins (high and not as high $), and Continentals. The Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus has been the best over the Pilots.
