  1. Buying a 2018 ecoboost soon

An EB with a Ford Racing tune and minimal performance upgrades is an excellent all-around ride with better handling and more performance than a 2010 or earlier V8 GT. I agree that the sound is not a traditional rumbly V8, but with a simple exhaust mod, you can get a very aggressive roaring...
  2. Ford Racing ProCal Tune

The very noticeable increase in torque (almost as much as the GT) with about 100 more HP @6000 RPM definitely feels good...additional increase in HP is only really needed for pushing the max speed or racing. I don't race so the wonderful improvement to drivability on public roads (with...
  3. Ford Racing ProCal Tune

OK.... been a week now with the tune installed. I can definitely feel the difference now. :D I use 93 octane so it took about 90 miles, a week and 8 or 9 accelerations to 70 @ med/hi throttle to get the full "learning" for the ecu. In "Normal" mode, the engine/transmission works smoother...
  4. The Ford Performance upgrade for the Ecoboost

Haven't had a chance to wring her out much yet due to the weather, but I am feelin' the power already. See you at lunch on Saturday.
  5. The Ford Performance upgrade for the Ecoboost

Yesterday I finally got the Ford Performance tune/air-intake upgrade pack for my Mustang (been waiting for a year for this). The air-intake is from the GT350 and the tune is a comprehensive performance reprogramming. I had it done by Southwest Ford in Weatherford (it's the only Ford/Ford...
  6. Ford Racing ProCal Tune

I've been following this thread for a while now, but now (as of yesterday) I have the tune installed... so now I can add my own 2-cents. Since I only have about 30 miles on, the reprogramming has not finished yet. It feels more powerful, but I will wait before saying anything about power. The...
  7. the opening of the grand tour

I concur...... I think they are trying a bit too much to differentiate themselves from typical Top Gear schtick... but it may settle down soon to their old patterns. By the way, I DO LOVE this show and was real happy to see the 3 Mustangs on opening! :D
  8. Muffler/resonator delete in DFW

That is a popular option and works well. I chose to remove the suitcase and replace with a welded-in Y-pipe (to aid flow) out to a pair of Magnaflows. Sounds deeper on-throttle, but not loud. (have to compare in-person at our next meetup).... by the way, I had it done at local (Arlington)...
  9. DFW M6G Meet - April 2016

Missed the meet-up!! Looked for the restaurant and went in circles for half an hour before giving up. Just couldn't stop and ask directions somewhere I guess. Dumb. I'm glad it worked well... thanks to Robbie. See you next month.
  10. DFW M6G Meet - April 2016

Wife and I will be at the CCC unless it's poring out...otherwise will see you all at the meeting.:cheers:
  11. Resonator delete questions?

khrome, let me know if you want to check out my exhaust mod in-person (I can meet with you somewhere), then if you like it, I can direct you to the shop I used (in Arlington).
  12. The Mustang Effect

An observation from over-the-pond (Texas)...... to most of us car enthusiasts, almost all 4-dr cars look the same regardless of design/manufacturing sites. While it is very true that there are many more Mustangs here, they are still very noticeable because of customizing, sound, overall look...
  13. The Fredricksburg-Three Sisters Cruise

98 in a 70 (on route 16). No one around.... got me from a mile away.
  14. The Fredricksburg-Three Sisters Cruise

Great pics! Thanks for all the good words. By the way I really got blasted by the rock chips (being first in line).... got a cracked windshield :( too.... I also got caught by that trooper :(:( near Llano heading home. Oh well, the price of adventure. What a great cruise, great company and...
