He has the Avid reading it and Daryl has also said he is seeing 11.5 psi but something is definitely reading wrong. A Coyote on 11.5 psi and E85 don't trap 150mph...lol...
Having a boost reading discrepancy. Friends new build, 15 percent lower, 120 upper, G3R on his S650 and car is showing only 11psi of boost yet it's running a 4.8-5.0 60-130, E85 of course. I'm pretty sure that pulley combination with the 15 percent lower should be around 14psi as it's running...
Here's how I believe it all went. First you want a max effort pump gas boost/horsepower tune. First mistake but ok. Correct me if I'm wrong but sounds like you had knock right from the start when tuning on straight 93. Usually knock from the intinal tune will have the tuner send a second file...
Yeah I believe it's definitely slow for 17psi. I've ran a 6.1 on pump gas and a friend of mine ran a 5.6 on pump gas, both 11psi. He was in 1800DA and I was in 2200DA. On E85 and 15psi I went 4.8 in 3400DA. We are Whipple cars but the G3R is more then comparable so I would expect very similar...
I run a 4.8 in 2000DA at 15psi with a completely stock motor and transmission and full weight of 4200lbs. So I'll say it again. All that money and work he has done AND in mineshaft, hero DA, just to run a 4.7 isn't impressive. Sorry not sorry...lol
