Did you grease the swaybar mounts, and end links at the grease nipples? (2 per end link + at swaybar mounts)
I had no issues with the same setup but greased once a year.
Most squeaks discussed in this thread were caused by Delrin bushings, often on vertical links. My delrin vertical links...
That's a good look too. Most recently I went 275 front/295 rear, so the back end would slide out easier when I wanted, and keep the front/rear traction balance I wanted, and unsprung weight down, but 305-315 looks WAY better IMO :)
Meaty tires on nice wheels look great! Good looking stance and height too...
Love how these cars can look good with such a variety of wheel/tire configs.
Second pic is how I was initially instructed/recommended to space them, and I have similar spring/setup as you, and it feels great (which is why I recently asked you about yours). Also... I feel much better about how dirty and beat up looking mine look after a summer and winter of driving :)
Hey Guys,
I'm trying to order new upper rear shock mounts, in order to get more bump travel than my current Steeda billet mounts allow for.
Vorshlag (who seems like my best option) needs a few measurements to guarantee fitment, as they've never made adapter spools for these exact shocks...
Hmmm, and I thought I had gone aggressive for a daily driver :)
Last time (for my current alignment), I got:
FRONT: (L/R)
Caster = 7.41/7.44 (asked for 7.3)
Camber = -1.47/-1.50 (asked for -1.5, but tire wear isn't as much as I expected, so might aim for closer to -1.75 this time)
Toe =...
What did you set front camber / caster to? (or if you have front and rear to share, post it all :)
I've had the bumpsteer kit for over a year, with -1.5 / 7.4 up front. Installing those roll center correcting Steeda links in a few weeks, then getting the alignment redone, so open to further...
Even then, a modification could entail upgrading a component (i.e. adding a supercharger for more power), to the detriment of balance and weight reduction, and decrease handling. Has that car really been "upgraded"? :wink:
I would suggest it's a combination of both... which is why these things are difficult to define.
"upgrades" of any kind can be very subjective, and most would fall, at least partially under the "modifications" column as well.
Sounds like a great deal for others that might be reading, but I keep snow tires on my 19" PP rims. Wouldn't expect those from Florida to necessarily understand ;)
Firm-ish... always open to learn more ;)
I'll pull on that thread....
I've disliked Pzero's, and Sumitomo HTR ZIII, was ok with the Coopers that came on my 08" Roush, and Blizzak's are great for what I use them for. Have been loving my Super Sports on this car/setup, but they'll need...
Four takeaways I've got from this thread so far...
1) I've realized more than ever that the mood this car puts me in is the real reason I drive it... I suppose that's my driving "goal". I have a great office job, and arrive each morning in either a VW, Mercedes, or Mustang... and in the past...
Just FYI - It's fully drivable with no spring, just not recommended long term. It just holds the pedal up, and off of the cylinder or whatever it's called.. so I'd wait till you break it before buying one, unless you don't care, or shipping costs etc make sense. Like most parts on this car...
