  1. Stanginator install 2019 GT

On the 18, I went in from underneath after removing the belly pan. Time consuming, but very easy.
  2. Light/Intermittent "thunking?" sound after TSP header install

Just a note of thanks for sticking w/this thread and providing your advice--your insights were very useful. Cheers, Mike
  3. Texas Speed (TSP) Headers

Final note (for now), I have some follow up here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/light-intermittent-thunking-sound-after-tsp-header-install.119271/#post-2502675
  4. Light/Intermittent "thunking?" sound after TSP header install

We went over the entire installation and found no other points of contact other than that described in the posts above. Not sure it was the wisest fix, but we simply pushed the A/C line away from that top pipe, which was the source of the dull, metallic clatter I was hearing in the cabin. Put...
  5. Light/Intermittent "thunking?" sound after TSP header install

I'll have it on the lift tomorrow...apologize for that pic--it is hard to tell w/o looking from underneath, but it appears dropping the motor down roughly 1/2" might clear that A/C line. Otherwise, I'm wondering about somehow tweaking the line a bit...not sure how, yet, but I would think even a...
  6. Light/Intermittent "thunking?" sound after TSP header install

I'll have to find someone who can do this--the shop who installed the headers expressed doubts that this is possible. But, they're "quality checking" the installation tomorrow...so, we'll see.
  7. Texas Speed (TSP) Headers

    There's contact here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/axZg3i44BRnzLBCLA Ref: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/light-intermittent-thunking-sound-after-tsp-header-install.119271/#post-2499934
  8. Light/Intermittent "thunking?" sound after TSP header install

Hoping to get the car up on a lift this week to double check the entire installation. However, there is contact here: As I've mentioned, I'm know enough to be stupid about cars--particularly a problem like this. However, I'm wondering if 1) that line can be relocated/reconfigured/replaced or...
  9. Light/Intermittent "thunking?" sound after TSP header install

Yah, it's definitely not the headers--which are not making contact. Still, I swear I've heard this sound from other mustang guys, but I just can't place it. It almost sounds like a loose lid on a boiling pot--probably a bad analogy.
  10. Texas Speed (TSP) Headers

I had a second and third set of eyes on the TSP headers, and all agreed that, despite the proximity, the headers are not (at the moment) making contact w/the frame (or the AC line). So, for the moment, I'm ruling out the source of an odd and interment sound that presented itself directly after...
  11. Light/Intermittent "thunking?" sound after TSP header install

At idle: Cruising: This sound seems to emanate from the engine bay (2018 Mustang GT), but I can't tell. It first occurred on the very first start up after the installation of a set of Texas Speed headers. Confirmed this afternoon that, despite the next-to-zero clearance on the passenger side...
  12. Texas Speed (TSP) Headers

As I mentioned, I'm no expert and have yet to determine what contact is being made; however, I've heard from a number of people, all of whom seem to be divided on the possibility and prudence of shifting the motor. Honestly, I don't know enough to know how that works (meaning, the actual...
  13. Texas Speed (TSP) Headers

Not sure if this link will work, but a quick shot from the top down shows a possible point of contact. I'm on the road, so uploading pics isn't possible at the moment. Again, I'll have a better idea tomorrow. https://photos.app.goo.gl/5dYURTtc1PMWXSHb9
  14. Texas Speed (TSP) Headers

I'll have a better idea tomorrow, when the car goes up on the lift. I take it you had a similar issue prior to shifting the motor (how far over?). I know just enough about cars to be stupid, but once we find out where contact is being made, I'd be interested (and grateful) for viable solutions...
  15. Texas Speed (TSP) Headers

I had my TSP (25-TSP50178H-CON-CAT) installed recently and I am getting an intermittent but persistent (very) light thunking sound, which I believe is coming from the passenger side. Shop owner said right away that the tubes are more than likely knocking up against something--but can easily be...
