  1. HPDE Suspension thoughts

I went with thew Brembo / Ford Performance 6 piston front brake upgrade kit. I purchased thru opmustang with Gloc pads. I know there are some different part numbers listed with them and I believe some of that references the caliper finish but I am not 100% sure. I know you can get them in gloss...
  2. HPDE Suspension thoughts

Thanks for the info and assistance. I may hold off for another year
  3. HPDE Suspension thoughts

Thanks for the replies guys, still researching and trying to do some homework. I like all of the ideas I have received. Bearing swaps make me a little nervous. I have seen FTB's bearing tool which would be a necessity for me. I certainly see the upside to doing them, just need to get the nerve...
  4. HPDE Suspension thoughts

I upgraded to the Brembo package and will likely run Gloc pads this year. Going to install the FTB or JLT brake cooling kit also (likely while installing front suspension). I Have a GT Premium so the suspension is bone stock. Also running heavier BG diff oil from opmustang. Haven't experienced...
  5. HPDE Suspension thoughts

Thanks for the responses, I have had the opportunity to drive a stiffer set up and preferred it for the track application. It felt better for sure. I don't normally go crazy with lap times etc and I was in a different car so I can't tell you what the exact translation would be for my car. I...
  6. HPDE Suspension thoughts

I have decided solicite some suspension thoughts in this thread specific to track / hpde events. I have been attending some track days and I am slowly adding components to my 15' GT premium as my confidence and ability increases. I am looking at suspension upgrades and I have a couple...
  7. Roasted Dust Boots on 4 Pot Calipers

I also made the mistake of using some cheaper off the shelf brake grease when I was rushing to get the car ready (pad switch etc.) for track day. I doubt it was high temp grease which I guess could contribute to the issue. Thanks for the comments and assistance.
  8. Roasted Dust Boots on 4 Pot Calipers

Thought I would add some photos to clarify. Not awful but not good.
  9. Roasted Dust Boots on 4 Pot Calipers

Yep Autobahn full course. Cool facility. Event organized by MVP Track Time. Seemed like nice folks and good instructors. The full course is decent size with some fairly hard braking zones. Had a blast and paying for it today with melted brake components.
  10. Roasted Dust Boots on 4 Pot Calipers

Attended a track day with standard GT with 4 pot factory brakes. Decent size track with some hard braking points. I have had decent luck in the past with them as far as performace. Setup included fresh Motul fluid and new Hawk Street Race Pads on OEM Rotors. This was my first experience with the...
