He did make some solid points though. If you are buying a vehicle any "better" than your common daily driver, you should at the very least look into a list of known issue, with the "Coyote tick" being quite a infamous one. 🤣
Happens. As others have said, Ceratec will fix it as it has done to mine, or swap to a good 5W-30 oil. Either will fix it—no need for both. I've been running 5W-30 for a while now, and the tick's been gone, at 105k miles. Personally, I suggest stepping up to 5W-30, or try out other oil...
Did you ever find the fix?
I'm in the middle of a move and DANG what a bloody great time for this to happen with my car! Mine is a 2016 as well, mostly stock with only FortuneAuto suspension I've put well over 15,000 miles on in about a year. I currently have my battery out charging up just in...
I'm not sure, we'll find out. From that level, it does see out of the rear window, but I'm sure it loses out some level of vertical sensitivity. But I did get some detections from the rear.
Sorry for the necro, but thought I'd throw in my own two cents & share what I've done. Took inspiration from thunderstrike's earlier post, and designed my own mount for the Valentine V1 Gen 2.
I am easily one of the biggest suction cup haters in the world out there, so I made my own...
Yup! That's essentially why I've almost never replaced factory filters. I'd say over the 100k miles driven so far, I've only replaced it three times. I typically wait until I either notice irregularities within the pleat itself, or any other form of damage on the filter or gasket.
I haven't...
Oh wow, I've never heard of such a thing. I'll check them out, thank you. Looks like it'll take quite a bit of digging to find the right size. Otherwise, I'll have to purchase an oversized one and cut it down myself.
Oh, here's one I found off WIX Filter's site!

99.9% filtration there.
Ford doesn't publish filtration efficiencies for their filter, so I'll throw this guy in and see if it makes a difference in the same time span!
Nope, as far as I know, OE paper is as good as it gets when it comes to filtering. Those guys will vary from as "low" as 99%, and go as high as 99.9%, and even crazier to 99.99%. I was just hoping there would be one available for this vehicle at either a 99.9 or 99.99%
Yessir, problem's with OEM paper filters. I'm not sure at what flowrate—I've only seen filtration efficiencies listed as a "fixed" value, devoid of the flowrate.
Let me know how you love it! I've always wanted to pick it up, but when I last saw footage of it, I wasn't a huge fan of its update rate. Ferrari's implementation was goated.
That is something active noise cancellation (ANC) cannot do. They are meant to cut out consistant audio waveforms. Human speech, and speech in general, plus any instant sound cues, are not captured by it.
What you're asking for is a pair of hearing protection ear muffs. You can buy a pair that...
I love these "what oil should I use" threads
Jokes aside, it really isn't anything crazy. Just don't use any crappy non-brand oil. I've used Motorcraft's standard oil up until 40,000 miles, then I switched over to Pennzoil's Platinum Ultra (5W-20). Been with it up to now, past 100,000...
Howdy y'all. Couldn't find any here or online, but is anyone else aware of any 99.9% or 99.99% efficiency air filters out there for 2015+ Mustangs? I haven't seen any filters with better filtration efficiencies than the OEM unit.
I live out in Midland, TX, and it seems like I get quite a nice...
