Great - good idea. To lower the step - would you use the vertical adjuster on the light unit itself (also discussed in the manual) or the beam levelling switch on the dashboard? Or both even?
Of course – I don’t expect to eliminate the kick up but I would think that it would be moved away from the direction of oncoming traffic and more onto the centre of the road with this adjustment.
Have a look at this page from the 2015-17 manual. The front beams can be adjusted in the horizontal plane - but would this be enough to make it pass a non-dazzle test for LHD? So, the beam pattern does indeed look like it has a kick up. Adjusting it wouldn't flip/reverse the kickup to make them...
I'm not an electrician, but they use different wiring - eg, in the N.American/US version, DRLs are in the main lamps (in Europe, they are part of the lower fog lamps, at least for the 2015-17 model)
