Washing your car will affect what you described as much as Ford’s update.

I didnt see any mention about an extension of the warranty for this. I’m assuming if it dies past the existing warranty period, it’s customer pay.

According to google, software update allows pcm to detect failing fuel pump, triggers a limp mode so car doesn’t stall, as well as a check engine light. Pump module would then have to be replaced by dealer.

I know that car. Transmission was recently rebuilt by dealer, with updated parts. Smooth shifts now.

Mine was built the first day of the recall production dates.

Nonsense. Onus is on the dealer to not misrepresent what the car is. With that being said, I would check difference in book values between the base Mach 1 and HPP Mach 1 and ask for the difference as a price adjustment.

Agreed. OP definitely has a reading comprehension problem. Print outs clearly show warranty claim denied.

4. I’ve gone to 3 different dealers about paint related issues, and got 3 different responses from the service managers regarding warranty coverage, ranging from zero, to partial repair, to full repair.

1. Is your car drivable? 2. Are there not any other dealers in your area? 3. If yes, what’s stopping you from talking to the transmission guy & service manager at another dealer, and determining what replacement parts they would use, and the the time frame for getting it repaired.
